I was about to mention that.... I guess its all a matter of personal taste after all, I like it, every MGS figure is different and based on in game images or renders, thats good imho it would be retarded if every single figure looked exaclty the same

All this needs is a bandana, and he's good to go.

They've mishandled a lot of collectible's appearances over the past few years. Zombie cross eyed Snake is one example.

It's like they don't even know their own source material. Remember how ThreeA REX was missing an antenna on the radome?

I agree he is too built like the play arts figure tho.
But his face looks pretty close to the art no?

He definitely looks like a younger Damn... I mean Damme. Dammit! The Twin Snakes render was superb, in my opinion, since it was essentially MGS 2 Snake without a beard.

Well, I don't think the designs were that bad. Granted, there were a few hit and misses. Meryl looked weird but Gray Fox and Liquid were alright.

Like it's been said few posts back, nothing beats TTS Snake. He's the definitive MGS1 Snake for me.

Same here. If IDM ever does a custom of MGS 1 Snake, I'd like the for the head-sculpt to be based off the TTS render.

Actually Frank, the 1/6 Yamato Snake IS the Codec Snake. I noticed that when I bought him in 2003.

I'd like to see it tackled at a high end level though as the Yamato one is a bit soft and only kinda looks like the codec Snake

Picked this guy up... probably going to get rid of him.

Never had a HT that was this unposeable. It's impossible to even get him in a natural, just standing there pose. His arms are always flared out.

Sadly, I'd have to agree. Naked Snake and The Boss are the worst figures in my entire Hot Toys collection. I would try to resell them, but I doubt that I'd get back $210 a pop - which is what I paid for them .

Yeh. I mean, it's nicely detailed and all... if the suit design wasn't also butt ugly, I could probably live with the articulation issues.
