I really don't care if the beird has the MGS3 look or 3DS/Peace Walker look. It's still Big Boss to me.
I doubt HT would make a PS2 version now that they decided to go with the 3DS for the sneaking suit.

This figure is perfect,no need for changes. If anything needs to be changed,it's The Boss.

I won't call the Big Boss figure "perfect", but it's great for what it is.

But, I have my doubts that these figures will be improved any more than they already are.... especially The Boss :monkey1. Shinkawa gave Hot Toys the green light, so they might not even bother to make any changes.

I like the way you guys think. If ever there was a series of figures deserving a DX treatment, it's MGS.

Big Boss: Virtous Mission, Snake Eater, Peace Walker, Metal Gear, old man Big Boss.

Solid Snake: Metal Gear, MGS, MGS2, MGS4, Pliskin.

Hell, even the "oddball" characters...Olga with fatigues and Ninja armor.

It's nice to dream LOL. But I'm happy making my own anyways.

Nice list. I also think that Solidus would be a perfect candidate for Hot Toys' first VGM DX figure. They could make some electronic features on the "tentacles" of his suit and give him his Dead Cell cloak as an added accessory.

Hell yeah, especially the way Solidus looks in the teasers images for the PA figure, I really like the headsculpt for that figure...has a real samurai vibe going on.

Exactly right my friend, But i wouldn't split up he DXs by character since there would be way too much to add. Id split it by Game.
e.g

MGS2 Snake DX, with Alternate Pliskin Suit
MGS4 Old Snake with removable Solid eye tactical vest and mask, and alternate blacksuit version(or militia uniform)
MGS1 Snake with alternate underwater gear

All with a ____-ton of weapons.
Oh crap now im all worked up!

Same here lol. Just got the HD collection and started playing MGS3 again for the first time since it came out, instantly pulled me right back in!

Metal Gear is one of those games where even the "filler" type characters, like the FROG soldiers/Haven Troopers, Gurlukovich mercs, Genome soldiers, etc., are cool enough to have figures of, even though we aren't likely to see them done by a professional outfit like HT.

Hot Toys has never made a DX video game figure before. But with MGS, hopefully that will change.

It's certainly possible, like we've all said, this IS the series to do it with. Quite honestly, from a purely business-minded standpoint, why WOULDN'T HT make a bunch of figures, or some DX fully-loaded figures? The demand is certainly there, MG is a hugely popular property with a dedicated fan base and visually interesting characters. So you can sell to the fans of the game as well as people who just like to buy cool looking characters. Seriously, I liked the RE figures, but certainly the character designs in MGS are much more interesting and deserve AT LEAST the same love that was given to RE.

MGS is my favorite series, my "holy grail" figure line, and I would love to see it get the old HT Iron Man treatment LOL, as I'm sure the rest of you guys would. I will certainly not complain if they come out with every variation of Snake (to include Liquid, Solidus and Big Boss in his various appearances.)

Hey, we can dream right? Lol

(our luck it will be a series of Iron Man figures painted to look like metal gear characters)

I miss Snake's old face :(. His new Peace Walker beard looks too Asian, in that his mustache and beard aren't connected.

Couldn't agree more man, I was hoping the sculpt would be like this because at least this render is closer to the MGS3 version.

"Prototype shown, final product may be slightly different"

Oh please. That's Hot Toys' tag line for all of their figures. And like I said before, the MGS figures were already approved by Shinkawa, so the chances of them being re-worked is slim. Unless of course, Hot Toys plans to delay the releases (not that I'd mind improvements of course!). The painted on zipper, if that's what it is, does look pretty bad though.

Yep. So far so PASS since it looks too much like PWalker.

Nothing's wrong with the Peace Walker sculpt. The only thing that I don't like about it is the beard. But, if you really want a high-end Snake figure, I'd say get this one. It's the best looking rendition of Snake so far, and it just pisses all over the Play Arts figures, as well as the craptacular bootleg one.

It's wrong cuz it looks nothing like MGS3 face obviously :lol

I'm not too crazy about Naked Snake character so I can easily pass. MGS Solid Snake is the only figure I'd buy w/o any Q.

Oh yeah? If and when Hot Toys releases the pictures of that figure, I'm pretty sure that you're going to complain that it looks nothing like the MGS 1 face :lol.
