Is it just me or have they updated Snakes sculpt? It looks much better and the beard looks more natural and he looks like he has a darker tan skin tone.

The sneaking suit also looks better fitting. I sure as hell hope this is the final product.

Your right it looks better. But that could just be the small image and the lighting.
Its the same display as this pic, but in here it looks more like MGS4 Snake??

Yeah that's true it could be the lighting, I hope it isn't though lol.

Unfortunately I can't find a better angled picture other than this one, it sure looks improved though. I hope they do the same for The Boss' sculpt.

I WANT to say yes, but unfortunately when compared to the original promo pics they seem to be the same. It's the low res pic and lighting that's giving the impression of a different sculpt. Darn.

Snake's sculpt isn't the one that needs fixing anyway. Proto sculpt looks great even if it is somewhat of a blend of multiple looks. The Boss is the one we need to worry about, but everyone knows that at this point.

I don't think HT will need to fix anything once they look at the quantity of PO for the boss.

All they need to do is fix it a bit, add some new acc and slap a v2 label on it and the Pos would be pouring in again.

Unfortunately that is a fairly realistic outcome as they might do her original outfit as she appeared at the beginning of the game, now with a reworked face and sculpted headband.

I'm holding out on Snake and Boss in the hopes that variants do come out. Even if chances are low, I rather be patient since I don't see these figures rising in price at all.

That pic is taken with flash which always makes a sculpt look different.I doubt they changed it.

I think you guys are right about the lighting after looking at it again.

It's probably this one which I think looks fantastic at this angle.

The Boss definitely needs work. I think the problem with The Boss is that her headsculpt is too large in proportion to her body which gives off a masculine impression.

I know I hated that outfit, it looked okay in MGS3 but in Portable Ops it just looked stupid.

Seems as though Big Boss is wearing it again in Ground Zeroes. I really don't like the suit, I mean what's the point of having a sneaking suit with bright orange colours to catch the enemies attention? lol.

Hot Toys took long enough to release a Naked Snake, hence many of us customized our own already.. And then on their first release, they choose a Sneaking Suit that's not exactly the clamor of their 1/6 fans.

I just hope this Sneaking Suit does not encounter the problems we are seeing with DX12 TDKR Batman, as they are both fabric.

In Ground Zeroes he's wearing the suit from PeaceWalker. SolidSnakes suits are much better than BigBosses imo. Although his fatigues, while standard, were cool.

Ah yeah my mistake, I agree, Solid Snake had cool looking navy seal type suits and Big Boss had more of a badass military merc thing going on. That's the thing that differentiated them.

I think Big Boss should just stay away from the sneaking suits entirely, that's Solids thing, i'd prefer Big Boss wear something truer to that time period like the usual camo fatigues he wears. That sneaking suit looked great in game but fatigues all the way, hopefully it's tigerstripe pattern for their next figure if HT ever does it.

What DX12 problems?

(i've been avoiding that thread due to the oversensitive 'everything is inaccurate' crowd)

^ i had the same feeling too but i checked out a video review and the figure looks fantastic. Only issue is the armour on his back isn't as slim-lined as the DX02 and his eyes are wide because of the PERS.
Its ashame i can't afford him this year, you think it'll be possible to buy him at the same price in 2013??

Back on BigBoss, i understand why they chose the sneaking suit, apparently HT like to challenge themselves so they deemed the fatigues to easy (it is quite simple) And i commend their effort. I think the figure looks fantastic except for the ribbed condom thighs.
Plus im only gonna pay for Raiden and SolidSnakes

Batmans usuallly go up in price.

In terms of them challenging themselves thats true and false, i don't see much challenge in Coulson, Fatigues Snake would be more challenging than that
