Even if HT were to release this, as incredible as it would be to have displayed with the figures there's probably no chance I would afford it. Not to mention space would be a problem. It does look great though.

I doubt this is ever made, but if it is what really sucks is that it's now probably $200 and counting more expensive than what it would have been when initially teased.

They've shown a MF cockpit for ANH, an MF cockpit for TFA and Rey's speeder from TFA. Doubt any of those see the light of day. If any of them do, it'll probably be the speeder.

I had been saving up my reward points to help soften the financial hit of the MF cockpit, once it were to go on pre-order.

I have since started using up those reward points to help soften the financial hit of figures...

I gave up hope on the cockpit some time ago.

I think there's still a chance it will be made, but a very small chance. Hot Toys & SSC are both doing extremely expensive life-size figures. So, if those are being made, this is a possibility. The Tie Fighters are in the same boat.

Actually I heard somewhere that HT have had very bad experience with vehicles. Ie they've made quite a few and not sold many. Especially Batman vehicles. Apparently there are still a lot to be had at Secret Base. If only they would open up the vehicles to the global market I'm sure they would sell. A pity for things such as the Falcon cockpit or Reys Speeder. Is get that in a heartbeat ! It worked be a great size to display.

I don't think that was true initially. The tumbler and bat pod got 2nd versions and the tumbler even had a camo version. The tron light cycle was a let down because the figure wasn't removable. The 89 batmobile had some q.c. problems out of the box, and while not really a vehicle, hulkbuster has at least had major revisions, I presume because it couldn't support its weight. The delorean is cool but I don't know how strong support for BTTF is in asia.

It could be hot toys has one or two teams that produce these lines since a lot of engineering is required. Obviously making a prototype isn't the issue for them because we've seen amazing things,, but when these are mass produced they seem to have a lot of problems.

So at least at the beginning, I think they did really well.

OK whatever the real story is vehicles appear to pose a problem to HT's. Either technically, financially (low sales) or from a resource point of view. Which is a real pity for us wanting just one (or a couple of) Star Wars vehicles.

For me Rey's speeder would be such a great piece. The dimensions are good for display. Thin in the width direction meaning it doesn't take up too much space. Plus I think it is one of the iconic designs of the newer generation of films. Who won't forget that trailer with Rey zooming across the landscape in front of that crashed Star Destroyer.

Bring back environments. Jazz and other small companies have made some cool stuff but there's a real interest in this. I'ld rather have the a part of the flacon as opposed to Reys speeder

I agree. What's the point of having amazing figures without the playsets right? Sure I could create something, if I had talent or skill (which I dont), but if I had those, I would be making my own figures rather than buying them. I don't know if a license allows a manufacturer to make whatever they want, or in hot toys case, only 1/6 figures and those little baby toys.

I agree but Sideshow would argue those didn't sell well either. Of course it didn't help that the majority of their "environments" were just slabs of polystone walls or doorways and nowhere near as precision crafted as Jazzinc's amazing custom dioramas are and I would suspect with as much tooling they would be selling them for a hella lot more than he is charging.
