No I mean "glitched" as in he's wearing the top part of his original uniform and the bottom half of his motorcycle imitation. You know, "galleria" (funny how NECA has made me coin that term) top with the motorcycle boots and pants from Pecadero.

I always assumed that was part of him bugging out. Instead of going into default mode "galleria" he had two different parts from the images he has picked up. Or it could have been that they wanted to show Robert Patrick's face for the climax of the film, but I digress.

The only difference between a LAPD regular uniform and a LAPD Motor Cop is the Motor Cop shirt has patches. The same ones on the jacket. Other then that the shirts are the same. And LAPD wears a tie with long sleeves and open collar with a white t-shirt with the short sleeves. I think the only reason they use the long sleeve is for the morphing of his arms. Would of look funny with bare arms.

Originally T-1000 was going to have short sleeves. All the concept art depicted him this way as well as the comic adaptation and the story boards (he also had a mustache!).

I was thinking about this when I was swapping clothes. It would have been cool if he did have short sleeves which would make him appear even more casual.

The T-1000, "Austin", Officer X, whatever you want to call him is just a great character.

I've always called the mall in T2 the 'galleria' - thats what they call it in the film afterall - its actually one of my wierd most quoted lines from T2 *with hand gesture* "the Galleria?" :lol Don't ask in what context I've had opportunity to use that quote - sometimes I don't even need a context.

I'll definitely take one Reeve Superman. With Supes I think the main display options are heroic standing pose and flying but I don't think I could personally justify buying more than 1, I'm not that into Superman. So maybe I'll make my Routh Superman be a flying one while my Reeve Supes stands and now and again swap the poses between them.

I just never saw him as "galleria" T-1000 until NECA. It was regular suit T-1000 or "I just know this is his first look T-1000".

I mean technically shouldn't he be named "Voight home" T-1000? :rotfl
That is the first time he really interacts and his character forms, not at the galleria, hahahaha.[/QUOTE]

Two words.

Clark. Kent.

:lol

I use that quote a lot too. Must be something about it that sticks out as a really memorable one. The tone in his voice or something.

It would need to have the right physique though. Hopefully HT release the Superman body separately.

Are they doing that with the BL one?

I wish the special edition would have included the extended cut of that scene where he asks the girls for directions to the galleria. It makes sense why it was cut from the theatrical but I think it'd be fun to see in an SE.

Whoap!, i got a blip on my gaydar after reading that.

It will never stop!...Your ass is Terminated.

True, but under Clark's suit I'm thinking the only important physique factors will be height and the broadness of his shoulders. Here's hoping they release the body separately, or else I see myself modding a regular TT. :lol

Apologies for the off topic discussion :monkey3

I don't think I have ever seen that. I have the Skynet Edition Blu Ray.

That's very true Marf, would be easy to pad out a reg TT I suppose. :)

Reminds me of the Bespin Han thing. Why is Bespin Han called Bespin Han when that version of him could just as easily be called Echo Base Han since thats where he first wore the 'bespin' outfit.

:lol

I think it is the way he delivers that bit of dialogue "the Galleria?", he just seems so friendly and almost cheerful! T-1000 has much better infiltration skills than the T-800.

And then they look at each other and chuckle because what LA cop wouldn't know where the "galleria" is? That would have made the scene even better.

Wasn't the T-1000 supposed to reply with a smile and say "I'm new here." too? That would have been a good one. I also wish they filmed the Enrique death scene where the T-1000 picks up John's trail (using the information he found from the deleted scene with John's room). Especially since T-1000 is kind of forgotten in the middle of the film after Pescadero.

Yeah, it's really memorable. I don't know if it's the delivery of the line, a killing machine playing a friendly cop or if it's just the fact that he has to ask kids but it's one of my favorite T-1000 scenes. The character completely changes once he spots John though and that version of him is great too. The smiles and "nice guy" attitude disappears completely.

It's exactly like that. In fact I'd blame Star Wars or maybe Kenner for introducing this. For some reason though, it just clicks. That is BESPIN HAN and BESPIN Luke etc. Just like with all these variations with the T-800 and T-1000.

How boring would it be to say "this is the T-800 as he appears at Cyberdyne with his gloves, bandolier and grey t-shirt". And like I said before, "Galleria T-1000" is alot better than "Voight home T-1000".

I just try to make sure that I remember that it's the same character and that the variations aren't unique individuals.:monkey3

The scene with the T-1000 knocking on the Voights door is a great one too for showing T-1000s blending capabilities - comes across very friendly, and no one has to tell him to smile or even what a smile is*.

I'd have loved to see how the the voights meeting with the T-800 went! The dialogue "there was a guy here this morning looking for him too....big guy on a bike" always makes me try to imagine that scene and how much of a contrast it'd be to the T-1000s approach.

*why would the T-800 not know what a smile is? Its like the not knowing what was 'wrong' with Johns eyes - what happened to "detailed files on human anatomy" etc? Maybe you could say that the T-800 wasn't questioning what smiling is so much as reacting with uncertainty as to what situation called for a smile - but somehow I don't think that was the intention.

Well the T-1000 is an advanced prototype. Not to say the T-800 model is "stupid" it was just made for human infiltration really. Plus there's that whole "read only, read write" scenario. I don't know where I read/heard this but I could have sworn it was mentioned that the T-1000 was "self aware" just like Skynet where as the T-800 was not.

I don't know. The T-800 and T-1000 were pretty similar (The fact that they both went to the Voights. "I would." "knows what I know" etc.) but I figure the T-1000 just went about it with more finesse where as the T-800 just goes right through everyone and everything only being knowledgeable to what something is and how something is, not why.

Plus what reason would he have to smile? T-1000 needed to appear to be a caring cop.

I'm 99.9% sure the first time I saw this video was from this board, but every time the topic of the T-1000 getting intel on John comes up, I can only think of this:

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/myiE_3MyMmo?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/myiE_3MyMmo?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

I've always felt Arnie's delivery of that line wasn't quite right. "My CPU is a neural net processor, a learning computer, but Skynet presets the switch to read-only when we are sent out alone". Obviously it was intended he use the computer-related lingo "Read-Only" but his delivery of the line sounds like hes saying "Skynet presets the switch to read.....only when we are sent out alone". I dunno, kinda an_al of me to even bring that up.

Theres kind of a suggestion that Skynet worries or has reason to worry about its Terminators going off-mission or something. "doesn't want you to do too much thinking, huh?" "Correct". Can a T-800 end up rebelling or ignoring its mission or something? Otherwise why inhibit its ability to learn?

Then the TSCC seemed to be on their way to showing a T-1000 rebelling against Skynet and being independant. But of course, cancelled, so we never got to see how that was to pan out.

kind of off topic, but what is the T-1000's vision like? does he also see like the T-800 or as humans do?

Yeah all this talk is probably more appropriate for the sticky thread but anyway.

I think we talked about the T-1000s vision before here. I kinda wondered why T-800 was able to sneak up on him and cut him in half in the steel mill. Is he really only able to see through eyes like any other living being etc. And what is that vision actually like. No one knows. "Its just a movie" is probably the best answer we could come up with to any of these questions. :lol
