I'm 99.9% sure the first time I saw this video was from this board, but every time the topic of the T-1000 getting intel on John comes up, I can only think of this:

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/myiE_3MyMmo?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/myiE_3MyMmo?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

:lol

Yeh, I first saw that here too. Still cracks me up.

No offense there Voorhees, but I guess no one can be called a real fan of any kind of franchise, movie, or stuff when the measure is how much stuff in how many quantities you got, you know?

It all comes down to personal importance and for me...the classic looks of the T-800 and the T-1000 are the most important ones.

Means for T-800: Galeria, Enrique´s place, cyberdyne and steel mill.
T-1000: Galeria, Pescadero, Motorbike Cop.
But that doesn´t mean that I need to buy 3, or 4 of those in order to keepém posed, therefor in order to be a bigger fan.

Plus: I can´t wait on any news regarding the Skynet Edition from T1, or a full score of T2.

And I have the German T1 German SE & JP UE, US T2 SE Laserdisc, T2 German UE DVD, US Extreme Edition DVD, Jp Extreme Edition Set and Skynet Edition BluRay/DVD Set + German 1-3 SE Digi-Pac and T4 T-600 Skull Edition DC

There are plenty of guys having much more, but that doesn´t mean that I, or any other dude is less of a fan.(I know this was probably fun, but still good to speak it out.)

Alright?

Agreed, fandom is measured by what you feel towards a property, it's irrelevant how much you own. If you love a movie, but you're dirt poor, you may own nothing related to it, but it's not to say you don't love it more or know more about it than someone who owns everything. There are properties I love, but I don't just buy anything and everything from it, it's too costly and to me it's pointless to buy a collectible unless you truly like the item. I wasted money once buying things just because they were based on Darth Maul, and looking back, I feel that was dumb.

Yes, I'm going to town buying up and making multiples of these T2 figures, but it's not to prove my fandom to anyone or compete with other collections, I simply want it for myself. If I had no internet and knew no one that collects and were just buying this on my own, I'd still approach it the same way, it's about giving myself fun and satisfaction with what I own.

I think we talked about the T-1000s vision before here. I kinda wondered why T-800 was able to sneak up on him and cut him in half in the steel mill. Is he really only able to see through eyes like any other living being etc. And what is that vision actually like. No one knows. "Its just a movie" is probably the best answer we could come up with to any of these questions. :lol

Ah, the good old "how does T-1000 view things" question. I still have no idea. He obviously can scan by touch and sight so I'm guessing his eyes function just like a human beings (or Terminators) but he can also receive data by scanning with his fingers and hands.

My answer to t-1000 vision system is that his eyes are of solid material and comunicates with the liquid metal, in the transformations that are not persons. the eyes take a strategic positions (as in the floor scene) and are the firt part of t-1000 that take human aspect.

The t-100 is liquid metal but some parts of this material are dedicated to motion , other for camouflage (colors and external textures) and others to transformations.

The concept of a complete liquid metal terminator is very far of the t-800or Tx concept because the t-1000 terminators must looks like a person and, move like a person, and do things like a person but they dont have skeleton, how they could be so strong to take a t-800 with his hands and throw it in the air?

This really drives me crazy :) i think that the t-1000 and robert patrick , makes T2 the best film in the saga.

I hope that all people can understand my very bad english.

Yeah some people find it hard to believe. Where does his strength come from. Even if he is more indestructible than a T-800 how does he generate the power to out-muscle one?

I've also wondered how he stays standing when he is liquifying himself, real liquid is subject to gravity like anything else and just drops all over the floor! I presume it must be capable of quickly solidifying itself, even if not on the outside then inside, creating a solid core around which everything else adheres and flows as needed before becoming solid itself.

And evidently like any living thing the sense of sight comes only from his eyes. But I wonder would he be capable of generating extra eyes in the same way he was able to create extra arms when flying the helicopter and shooting at the same time?

Really the t-1000 is as interesting character as the t-800 was in 1984 terminator 1, IMO the t-1000 is the key of the film , is the perfect enemy of arnold by the mistic that envolves the character, and the robert patrick play of the role is near to perfect.

I've always called the mall in T2 the 'galleria' - thats what they call it in the film afterall - its actually one of my wierd most quoted lines from T2 *with hand gesture* "the Galleria?" :lol Don't ask in what context I've had opportunity to use that quote - sometimes I don't even need a context.

It's actully called 'The Glendale Galleria'. They just call it 'The Galleria' for short.

Yeah Cameron made a great choice in RP for the T-1000. Like Arnie he had a distinctive face and bone structure and he wisely borrowed aspects of Arnies' performance while coming across more fluid (no pun intended) and less robotic. And no one could forget the ears.

I love the fact that he looks physically inferior to the T-800 and yet is capable of wrecking him while remaining in perfect condition himself. The contrast by the end of the film is great with the T-800 being this big hulking mess of shredded clothes and ripped up flesh and the T-1000 having no visible damage whatsoever. I really can't wait to be able to have that on my toy shelf with the HT figures.

Totally agree with all your words a-dev , i need this figure :)
I hope Loontentoys give me good news the next month.

Sheesh ... speedy recaster!

Lol, thats new to me. Very funny.

It is ebay. Orgar is one of those stores that is aligned with storerooms and the other one, I think it is markettoys. All the same owner or people behind them. Have to be careful with them.

Is it definitely a recast?

Exactly, same thoughts but brought differently to the point, Sean.
