wow, muuuch better. probably a tough likeness to get. he's got some subtle facial qualities, but this is pretty good. im satisfied enough to keep an order.

But wait, there's more:

In the meantime, our team is also re-working on the damaged version of Marcus' headsculpt, please keep checking our newsletter as we'll be unveiling the complete photo gallery of the finished sculpture soon!

Awesome news!!! :banana :banana :banana

Wonder if they take off the whole right ear this time???
If I remember correctly, the whole ear was torn off when he was battle damaged...

Does anyone know if these resculpts affect the releasedate???

It could affect the release date, but without knowing for sure the production process of a Hot Toys figure.

As for the damaged head, the extent may just be cleaning up the clean side, but they may change the ear too. Most of the shots, the ear is pretty much smashed into his head, though there are some where it's more full like the first rendition of the damaged head.

he look much better :)

the Battle Damaged Head becomes a new version too

Hmmm... I dont know if I should like the new head sculpt or not. I think he still doesn't look Worthington like. It should be some thing between new and old head sculpt.

Here is some photo manipulation of what I would change but even still I think this sculpt is fantastic as is otherwise.

Ok.. the eyebrows: depending on what pic you look at, your photo-chop is accurate/not accurate. Same for the HT head. So to me, it's irrelevant. Because it'll never be 100% accurate to every pic you'll see of dude.

The cheek thing, honestly I can't even tell what you did or what the difference is supposed to be. :lol

Now the hairline. Here's the thing: That hairstyle is called a Caesar. Where the hair is short and brushed forward. That hair that's brushed forward though does not = a hairline. And you seem to consider it that, and that's wrong. So by adjusting what you think is a hairline, you've actually made dude look like he's balding.

You can see in this pic of Sam Worthington from T:S the HT sculpt is correct. Your photo-chop gives Marcus a 16-head: more than a forehead. :D

I think the HT head sculpt is not bad and not really good, but it's definitly not correct.:sick
I maybe would like to see a sculpt between the old and the new version.

Could somebody blend the pictures together in one picture so that you can see it?

sure the new sculpt has some problems as well, but it really is a good reminder of how terribly off the original sculpt was. both have their problems but the newer one is best. glad they made the fix, but yeah i'm still debating now whether or not I want to go for it. I think it looks really good off of the body in those original shots from the tommy blog, but the shot of it on the body recently released just looks a bit odd.

But for real, you guys know what? The figure head should really look Sam Worthington like, it's not fair because the John Connor figure has the exact head sculpt of Christian Bale and that's the point that really matters.

I wish I wouldn't have gone to see this movie.... theres about 5 more figures too add to the want list now. :lol
This being the first one I want to pick up. :rock

i miss the old head :(

I can actually see what you mean. Looking back at it , it is a nice sculpt.
I think the newer sculpt has improved the figure and I do think it looks like Marcus more but still it seems a shame the original will never see the light of day.

Reminds me of like a Russian hitman or something... like that massive guy who attacks the punisher in the Tom Jane movie.. :lol:monkey1

I know what you mean...I'm on the waitlist for Connor and I've ordered Marcus....and I'll order the T-600 (Rubber Mask) on Thursday when it goes up.

I like this sculpt. but I liked the other on too....looking forward to seeing how the "battle-damaged/reveal" head sculpt is changed...

Marcus and John Connor are in the top 3 most anticipated figures for me. I love both costumes, and both portraits really have a cool look. I enjoyed the film, but I love the figures even more.
