Here is the problem that I had with Wolverine. This movie IS suppose to be a part of the X-Men series and not a reboot. Yeah you can say spin-off but nonetheless it was suppose to connect with the X-men movies. What got to me the most is that the writers completely ignore the first 2 X-men movies of the Weapon X flash backs. It was establish he was suppose to loose his memory once the procedure is complete then goes on a BLOODY rampage. Even in where he exits the base was different. That may not make a difference to most, but it really bother me and just kills the continuity of the series. Bad special effects I can deal with, but don't take me as a fool or expect to have me forget what I saw in previous movies like they never happened.
One thing I do not get with Hollywood writers when they are making a DC or Marvel adaption to the screen is that they should have the easiest job. I always felt that comics are like story boards, don't re-invent the wheel. Just use what is already laid out and just fill in the blanks here and there. Modernize a few things, but just don't mess with the story and how it goes. Origins had everything there that was straight out of the comics, but why they had to alter it is beyond me besides watering it down to get a PG-13 rating. Also having in the movie Sabretooth being Wolverine's brother was a bad choice. I might have missed the issue in the comics that officially stated that, but should have left the "mystery" of their relationship. Great Cast but poor story/ and a waste of a few good characters.
