Just received my Wolverine.

This figure is just perfect. The likeness is great. The real metal claws are awesome (almost stabbed myself ). The jacket is very well done. The new upper body articulation is good. Nice and tight. Great range for the neck. Great sculpt on the body, too.
Love how the dogtags have his name and number etched in them. Damn tiny.

These are too cool

Just got done watching this movie for the first time.

Wow. That sucked. It tried way too hard to be cool. And I really didn't expect the CGI claws to look that horrible in the bathroom scene, but wow.

It wasn't all bad of coarse. Liev was great. Liked Wade. Gambit was good. Some other things...

But...ugh.

Figure is still awesome though. :p

Funny how Hot Toys make wonderful figures for crappy movies. We all love the Predator figures but hated the A V P movies. half and half on Terminator Salvation and Im pretty safe to write Origin:Wolverine is hated by everyone.

I loved Origins. I never understood the hate for it. I can rationalise T:S and Transformers 2 but I thought Origins was a great film.

I've seen the Origin: Wolverine and it is a good movie but they made Wolverine too much of a resilient character. Sabretooth too. The idea that Sabretooth can take down a young Cyclop is unreal; Sabretooth might be able to if he ambush Cyclop but not likely in the open(in this case, open school's hallway). Cyclop's beam cut through solid school's walls. Its unreal that Wolverine and Sabretooth can take on the last guy with multiple mutant powers. I guess this villian was under mind control so its possible.
Its still a good enough movie...we get to see other mutants like Gambit and The Blob.

To be fair, the entire movie is unreal. That's why it's a sci-fi/fantasy.

Some people forget that I think (critics mostly) and treat it like it's a serious drama and we're spose to get some deep message from it. It's action it's fun with a story that keeps you interested enough to watch it until the end.

I definitely didn't hate Wolverine. I thought it was a fun movie. It's not one of my all time favorites but it was a cool action film and I'm really glad HT made a Logan figure from it. I'd buy more HT figures from Origins for sure.

Here is the problem that I had with Wolverine. This movie IS suppose to be a part of the X-Men series and not a reboot. Yeah you can say spin-off but nonetheless it was suppose to connect with the X-men movies. What got to me the most is that the writers completely ignore the first 2 X-men movies of the Weapon X flash backs. It was establish he was suppose to loose his memory once the procedure is complete then goes on a BLOODY rampage. Even in where he exits the base was different. That may not make a difference to most, but it really bother me and just kills the continuity of the series. Bad special effects I can deal with, but don't take me as a fool or expect to have me forget what I saw in previous movies like they never happened.

One thing I do not get with Hollywood writers when they are making a DC or Marvel adaption to the screen is that they should have the easiest job. I always felt that comics are like story boards, don't re-invent the wheel. Just use what is already laid out and just fill in the blanks here and there. Modernize a few things, but just don't mess with the story and how it goes. Origins had everything there that was straight out of the comics, but why they had to alter it is beyond me besides watering it down to get a PG-13 rating. Also having in the movie Sabretooth being Wolverine's brother was a bad choice. I might have missed the issue in the comics that officially stated that, but should have left the "mystery" of their relationship. Great Cast but poor story/ and a waste of a few good characters.
