Cant wait to get this figure in, looks great. This and the Alien are my only HT preorders, but I am more excited about this than alien.

for a manly lumber jack pose?

Hadn't thought about this one in a while.

Yeah, I scratched my head at that. I wonder if there's a joint there or not, but the weird thing is, if the logo's there to hide something, why not just omit that shot all together, there's nothing gained from what is visible you couldn't get form a shot of the tank top on him other than some chest hair.

really? It looks a hell of alot better than in the other ones I've seen. If I get it I'll have to pose him at that angle. :lol

This one turns out to be quite hard to resist. I was gonna wait for HT to announce the DX version of it, but I think I'm gonna cave in and get this once its out.

its funny how they put the Medi figure in there. Looks like a friggin Hasbro toy compared to HT's

Indeed, but they really shouldn't do any comparison until HT's made the same figure. While yes, Medicom's look is much more anime/simplistic compared to HT, it's not fair comparing two totally different figures, the Origins hair is different, the costumes are different.

The Alien has nostalgia, details and display power, Wolverine will be all that and have a much greater range of poses and fun to be had. I'm very eager for him, with DX Joker on the way now, Wolverine is now my most anticipated figure on order.

Tommy Richardson is a hell of a photographer and yeah, he presented the figure better than HT's house photos, but they're still the same figure, hard to imagine sometimes. I usually eagerly await Tommy's photos, well half eager and half jealous, because they really show off the figure. His shots of the Predator were far better than HT's, really put my mind at ease about how the figure would look.

the close up of his head with his arms crossed shows some serious skin texture on the body. I wonder if they are using the new material for the body that they have for the heads. Its almost too much. Old logan has some sirius. Get that boy some steriod cream.

I don't think the bodies are a new material, it's just a matter of actually putting texture into them finally.

For a long time, most figures were fully clothed and it didn't matter much if you did or didn't have texturing on the bodies, as they're branching out, changes are needed.

I'm glad they're doing it, it's always sort of taken away from texturing on teh face if the neck and other parts of the body have a smooth finish, now the pieces are matching better.

Also, never worry about texturing based on prototypes, they always do the texturing deeper on prototypes because some of the detail is lost in the casting process. I've never seen an in hand figure that wasn't better looking as far as texture from the prototype.

Interesting point. I looked at the Wolverine pictures numerous times and I never once thought the body was "out of place". Which is a good thing. A normal 'nude' TT would stood out of place whereas the new body blends seamlessly.

Do you think there will be people who cancel this once they've thought twice about it? I'm not,now that I've ordered him I'm keeping him.
:chew

What do you guys think of the shoulder articulation? It looks like he might not be able to extend his arms outward from the sides for poses that involve broad sweeping motions with the claws. I would rather have a cut on the top of the shoulders to allow for this.

the red shirt looks really nice.

blast that logo blocking the picture of the body

Bet it was intentional. I'll wager they're still working on the body, trying to decide the right balance between aesthetic and articulation. the elbow joionts are already evidence of this.

And that's one of the reason I might still swap him to a regular truetype.
The lack of a neck joint being another.
