Where do they get their dates from?

Do they pick them at random or have insider information.

Your guess is as good as mine, according to Play.com (who are terrible with dates) its coming out tomorrow. The best way to know when its coming out is to watch Ebay. Goodshipped (who's a member of the boards and supplies to many people) normally gets a few early, i had my hot toys iron man mk3 off him a month before it was released for the market, cos he got it pre-release from the local fair.

Nothing on ebay yet, Play.com continues to set the bar for missed dates :D

Seriously, I expect the figure to be available overseas middle of November. It gives other suppliers the ability to get and distribute their shipments before the end of the year.

I reckon he'll get released december if not january next year :monkey2

I hate the wait as well. Since the announcement in April this was one of my top three figures for the year and he will be one of the last figures released.

On a brighter note, what an awsome Christmas present :naughty

I was watching Wolverine last night, I really can't wait to get this figure, and I'm really dissappointed we probably won't be getting Schreiver Sabertooth.

I haven't lost faith. We NEED a Sabertooth. Who else will I pose with Wolverine? :D

HT has been quite on the Marvel front since their summer announcement. Perhaps a legal issue with the Disney purchase of Marvel (crossing fingers) before announcing Schreiver and other Marvel characters. Hopefully something comes soon......

Well, the summer was just that, an announcement of securing licenses, I'm not shocked that they've been quiet with the other films, they're busy with Iron Man 2 development and who knows what else, I'm sure it'll take a few months to even get 1 prototype done up, plus the Spiderman figures will likely be a decent R&D project figuring out the best way to achieve his costume, I think it may be one of the most challenging costumes to interpret in 1/6 between the design and the materials. Do you go rubber, cloth, etc.

However, I don't see any reason for holding up a Sabertooth from Origins unless they're just no doing it, I do hope Schreiber's back in the W:O 2, maybe then we could get a figure, if not, at least we get to enjoy him on screen again.

I thought Sabertooth and Wolverine where great together in the movie.
I probably want a Sabertooth more than a Wolverine but what makes you think they're not going to make one eventually?

(Why is Sabertooth not a word but Wolverine is?)

With movies that are fresh out like this, HT likes to strike while the Iron's hot, Dark Knight, release after release, Iron Man, release after release, Terminator Salvation, release after release.

Wolverine has one figure debuted and months passing with no sign of anything else. By HT's historical pattern with new movies like this, they're conveying a disinterest in making things from this film, and there's no history that figures could do well outside the film and the movie was poorly received. Terminator, the movie could be a flop and Endoskeletons would still sell, even Connors, there's history with collectors of that type, Wolverine's a gamble, HT's never sold it before and don't have anything to guess by for how collectors will react. Wolverine himself is sure to sell well, but with a lukewarm reception, HT's probably thinking anything else from this movie may not be a good idea. Wouldn't surprise me if Wolverine's the first Trilogy figure offered.

Im still intrigued as to what offerings we will get for the X-men trilogy.

As far as the good guys, Wolverine's certain, I would imagine a fair offering of villains as they are more visually interesting designs than the X-Men. If I can get a Ray Park Toad figure from HT and a Trilogy Wolverine, that'll be enough for me, those are my musts, anything after that would just be a nice bonus.

I don't think the trilogy release(s) will comprise of that many selections. I assume HT will get the license for IM2, Thor, Captain America, Spiderman 4 - 6, Avengers, XMO: Magneto, XMO: Wolverine 2 all the re-boots etc.

They will begin to have an over abundance of Marvel character IMO the trilogy will have:
- Spiderman: Spiderman, Goblin and Venom
- Xmen: Wolverine, Magneto (possibly another)
- Blade: Blade and ???

I would guess most of their trilogy selections will be able to be re-used for their new license (Spiderman 4 - 6), (XMO:Magneto), (XMO:Wolverine 2)
