I just got the DVD. What's the odds it'll make me want this figure after I've seen it....
Are you a fan of the other X-Men films? I've been a fan of Jackman as Wolverine since the first X-Men movie and any iconic figure of him I'm up for, this figure has his basic, casual look well represented so I'm into the figure beyond just Origins.

Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine in all three X men films along with Origin's is sensational. Similar to Tobey's Spiderman and Downey's Ironman, Jackman captures the essence of the character spot on.
I cannot wait to display this figure on my shelves.

I quite enjoyed the X-Men films, apart from the Senator scenes and Strykers son in the wheelchair scenes. Have all the DVD's. I had always loved Wolverine from the cartoon days mainly because of the yellow suit and black part mask.
Strangely enough I actually really enjoyed this film over the X-Men films. It had a more realistic feel plus I liked the fact how much of a loner he was. Giving that more reality feel to it.
It definitely benefits from take a more focused look at people, the dominant characters are Wolverine and Sabertooth, it's a nice look into both personalities as well as their relationship and two good actors portraying it too. I don't know why W:O gets the bad feedback it seems to, but I like it.

W:O gets a bad rep for reasons separate from the two lead characters and the actors who play them. I think the way the rest of the characters were handled is weak and went a bit too off track in regards to their established history. Also, the ending made no sense to me (adamantium bullet).
I agree, but nevertheless I think this is a kick ass figure. Just arent too sure if I wanna get this now, since chances are this isnt the only figure that HT is going to make of him. And I'd learnt my lesson with the joker, so I'd rather wait out and see.
That makes me glad to know nothing about character history, I have no attachment to pre-established characters.
What's nice about this figure is other than his hair, it can be universal, it can be casual Wolverine from any of the trilogy films too, get him down to just the tank top and you can have him be Wolverine from the mansion attack in X2.
Ditto. I think people without the history (from the comics) enjoyed the film a little more than those with extensive background.
IMO Wolverine, Sabertooth and Stryker were decent characters others were ho hum but I liked the movie and enjoyed most of the story. I enjoyed Jackman's Wolverine in the three X men flicks in addition to Origins. Thus, I cannot wait for this guy (with an improved head sculpt).
One thing I didn't like was the recast of Stryker, I know he's younger in Origins, but I just really enjoy Brian Cox as an actor and liked how he portrayed Stryker in X2.

Yeah, I'll get Wolverine despite my feelings about the W:O movie. I'd wait to see reviews and a lot of in-hand pics first, though. However, I would not buy a Sabertooth figure for the reasons I mentioned earlier. That, and I didn't really like Liev Shrieber in the role.

My twin brother read a lot of the X-MEN & Wolverine comic books while we grew up and I got the gist of his origin,but I was never really into the character as deeply as my brother was.I did have a cool enamel pin of him saying "I'm the best there is at what I do". Now for some strange reason after seeing the unfinished version of Origins and then seeing the finished and rewatching the X-MEN trilogy,I'm into the character. That's why I ordered the figure. I know,I was rambling.
