Bumping this up! Has anyone had the arm break on this or know of someone who's HT big chaps arm broke? I'm wondering how to go about repairing. I know the rubber sleeve can be removed though not sure what's the best way to do that. Also can the arm be detached from the body?

Also got a broken hand peg. Any advice on replacement pegs?

The arm is detachable as it's on a ball socket. For hand pegs, it's using a bespoke design so your best bet is to fix it with a very thin pin inserted inside the peg using a vice drill.

The wrist pegs are smaller than normal HT pegs, don't know about replacement options.

Still waiting for HotToys to release an accurate Giger Alien. The took too much artistic liberties with this one.
This figure convinced me to stop collecting Hot Toys Aliens and sell what I had. The City Hunter 2.0 had the same effect with my Predator collecting. I'm more tolerant of inaccuracy than some - and I don't claim to have total knowledge of what is accurate - but I think Hot Toys really missed the mark with those two, willfully or otherwise. The Alien in particular was like they said the most basic, generalized resemblance will do.

For a license as expansive and popular as the Alien franchise, HotToys has dropped the ball immensely with it. There are 10,000 Iron Man figures but zero desire by them to release the Colonial Marines and do them justice.
Imagine a 1:6 APC with the USCM… an accurate Big Chap or even a 1:6 Queen Alien!!
HotToys is shameful in what they’ve given us with the Alien franchise. We can only hope one day they will decide to do them or another 1:6 company picks it up.

Their Warrior 2.0 was pretty decent. I still get tempted to hunt one down every now and then, but never act on it due to the higher-end stuff that's just around the corner.

Their Big Chap was quite the letdown indeed. I'm surprised by how many folks want to track one down because "it's the iconic original" despite its likeness being further from the source material than any of their other Aliens, save for their first Warrior.

A 1:6 APC would be one of those ''Howard's private collection'' items that would appear at shows but never go to preorder. Heck even the Powerloader 2.0 had that fate.

The marines are ripe for revisiting - but Hot Toys gonna Hot Toys.

I usually try to bite my tongue when I see this figure receiving praise. :lol

I too used to nitpick these figures to death back then, and there is a LOT wrong with this Big Chap but in the end, especially with the ubiquitous MCU and SW craze, I consider these a blessing. I think as a TRAP fan (Terminator, Robocop, Alien, Predator), I'm grateful for what we already got because there's no way in hell Howard Chan would be interested in these nowadays.

Useful acronym if it could catch on and not have to be elaborated every time :lol

I tend to call them the Aliens & Robots franchises after this section of the forum.

Well there's that new Robocop 3 figure. Trouble is you can't take that as an of indicator of a committed return to TRAP - no more than Ripley ended up being.
