I wouldn't feel too shook up about it.
Look at it this way, it will fit right in with the Hot Toys ALIENS Warrior alien and hopefully have none of the QC issues.

Thats the problem, I dont have any of the Hot Toys Aliens figures...
I was counting on this to be the ultimate Giger's Alien but well...it will only be a nice alternate interpretation of Giger's Alien.

I'm gald I got two Medicom Giger Alien earlier this yr for the price of 1 Hot Toys Giger Alien...shall try repainting one of them.

clearly, someone with predanator's lousy attitude and thin skin could accomplish what he claims on the internet.

$130 is Nothing to pay for a fine figure like Hot Toys have produced.

Many of you obviously have no understanding of the complexity associated with manufacturing complex 'rubber' components.

I'm sure Geiger was happy with the design, he obviously didn't have any complaints.

i agree and disagree. i had no idea what the actual problems were until someone spelled them out a few pages back (once Snake Eater asked them to). If that hadn't happened I wouldn't have been able to pick it out. Now I've seen it, I see that the complainers do have a legitimate complaint. Won't stop me from getting it, but I do see the innaccuracies. Then again, almost everything at 1/6 does.

I'm a little disappointed for those guys. It seems the casual fans like myself will get a great looking figure we'll love. But some of the hardcore fans that have been waiting for this release for ages won't. That's a real shame. I can imagine the feeling if HT had done the same thing with my favourite license.

So, can it predanator - understand both sides. As a fighter pilot, doesn't war count as negativity? I don't think I've ever seen fighter pilots throwing flowers at oncoming planes.

Giger always has the final say about his designs .... I don't want an Alien with a ventilation pipe hanging out of it's neck ... An accurate Alien based on all the suits would look stupid as a 1/6 figure ... But it would be "super accurate" ...

I'm still waiting for some detailed photos from the self elected 'experts' in this thread .... Not the old photoshoped photos you see the same old people using everywhere ...

Yes, but those photos only show 'The Alien' from one angle ... a dark and grainy angle at that .... They shouldn't be used as absolute proof of anything ... I agree, it's not the most accurate figure ever produced, but there is NO such thing at the end of the day ... Everyone would say the figure looked stupid if Hot Toys made a "super accurate" figure based on the movie props ... It would look terrible ... and we'd never hear the end of it ... Hot Toys can't win!

I gotta say, this is the first time I've seen an excellent comparison. Thanks. And I can finally see what everyone is complaining about it. It's still an excellent figure don't get me wrong. And most of the details are there. But the face...yea...it's really off. And that dome would look amazing if it looked like the top one. And it's not like HT can't do that sculpt. I know they got the talent to do it. But yea...I would kill for a more accurate face. Ah well. I'm not gonna whine about it. Just won't buy it. Out of space anyway.
