-Hottoys feels that they made way too many TS figure so this JC v.2 will be the last

-HT want to make the MotoTermintor and other endo when the TS project start, but the film company didnt provide enough refrence and they drop the project. Due to the lack of info, HT made up lots of the hyrobot parts.

1- That sucks because yeah they did too many, but too many stupid T-600 variants, can't do Kyle Reese, a fresh, unique figure, no, waste slots in the lineup for dumbass machine variants that people are sick of.

2- That just sucks because that's basically saying WB didn't want more merchandise made so they didn't supply HT with thorough reference material, since when does a company not want to make money.

If it's really true on the reference, then it's another reason why I am forgiving with certain errors made because it seems like reference provided to HT can steer them wrong sometimes.

I'm pretty sure the amount of T-600's has more to do with getting some money back on the R&D and construction of the actual figure, like the Iron Man MK1 it is a small marvel of 1/6th engineering.

I get the feeling that HT have been pretty frustrated with the amount of reference that has been made available to them on many licences.
But this is because of the uber secrecy of closed sets and media blackouts on images from the movie producers, The 1st Joker being a good example.

Yep!

I can understand recouping R&D, but if you take away T-600 variants, you have a more minimalistic line like their others and not overkill. My main point was yes, maybe they've done too many T:S figures in the line, but unique things, they didn't branch out much and there's room to do say a Reese to add character depth to the line.

Ya think? :slap

At least, for once, they've announced the END of the line in advance.

Of course they did that with Batman and then decided to DX another couple figures. But with TS I do believe this is it.

Good. I had a feeling they'd start making "Real" Terminators once this line was done. Now with this announcement and the new poll, we're all good to go.

If I were to have a chose, I'd rather have a Kyle Reese from T-1 with a better likeness of Michael Biehn then the teenage kid from TS.

At the moment I really can't make up my mind anymore about the two John Connors. I like the second one (final Battle), I think it would go better with my T-700 (My stand in for the Arnie T-800 in the final scene) and it has more accessories (base, aquabot). The first one, everyone's right about the look, they might not be a un-damaged face one again; plus he looks like he's cheaper price wise.

The one thing I do know is that I can't afford both.:sick

Yep. Call me old school, but it's just not Terminator unless it's Arnold for me. T1 and T2 rock for completely different reasons, much like Alien and Aliens. But I'll take some HT magic on anything from those Terminators short of that squealing brat JC.

Yeah I'd buy him too. I don't find him that annoying, of course that probably stems from the fact I was a child myself when I first saw his performance. Kinda like the ewoks really.......oh god that must mean the kids of 1999 will grow up to love Jar jar binks...
