The HT Comedian is in my top 5 in the Movie Masterpiece line, along with Hell Boy, Abe S, Wolverine and the MK1 Iron Man.

I think darkseed asked the same question, but here it goes again

so how would you rate the overall paintjob, is it on par with wolverine's?

I think sculpt and accesorries wise, its top notch.

Frankly, Im just worried with the paint app. I mean, its not doing so well, Im just worried that they gonna give us an half assed attempt paint job like they did with the spirit line :sick

I my opinion The Comedian is on par with Wolverine, but I don't have the experience of a lot of people on this board in picking apart the paint apps on 1/6 figures. When I take pics tonight, I will put the Comedian and Wolverine side by side and you can judge for yourself.

Thanks. I don't mean to sound doubtful or make you feel the need to justify your opinion. Hydeous hit the nail on the head. Certain lines HT kinda "relaxes" on and the figures are not up to par with the usual suspects.

The pics of Silk II and The Comedian look decent but IMO give the flavor this line may be "relaxed". I also know often pictures don't do the figures justice. People who love The Watchmen will buy the figures. I am on the fence with this line and I need more convincing. :D

Anyway, thank you for answering our questions and posting pics :banana

no the hair was sculpted to body right?. I think Wolvie looks a little to thin to be the same body as Comedian.

Are you sure?

My body was just painted. From what I can see with the ebay sellers they look the same only a different paint job.

There we are, same body as wolvie, only sculpted hair is on the arms, but because it's not painted, it's not as obvious

Well I stand corrected. Amazing how much less noticable the hair is when it isn't highlighted with paint. I wonder if the Comedian body will end up being more popular than Wolverine's because of that. Or if Wolverine will still be popular because it is the only 'hairy' body out there?

Anyone know if Sideshow will be getting these soon? I'm really looking forward to getting this guy.

thatd be great. Also strip him down if you can, just so that we could see if its indeed the same sized body.

so it has that small waist like wolvie as well?

I dunno, he kinda looks like arnie's dutch sized body to me.

Guess we'll have to wait for nyc's pic then

I got him on EBAY from HK and had it shipped EMS to NYC

As to the other question, I won't strip it down to look at the body- I don't want to damage the costume trying to undo the buckles on the harness and taking the outfit apart. At approx $200 for the cost of the figure + shipping from HK, the risk is too great for me- trust me I have big bulky hands and I would never get the figure back together correctly.
