I disagree with this notion. I'm not quite sure how you have set your expectations to where they are, but a Hot Toys figure usually comes with an extra head only if the necessity for an extra head is integral to the character. There are exceptions, but even then it should be seen within context. I.e. Bank Robber Joker's extra head is HT's redo after missing the mark on V1 Joker. As for the trend, there isn't one. There are still an acceptable amount of figures coming that have an extra head: Marcus Wright, DX Joker, Michael Jackson, Dx Batman (sorta).

I don't disagree that The Comedian figure deserves a second portrait, but why Silk Spectre? Or any of the Goemon figures? Or Blade? Even including a second head with John Connor wouldn't make sense because it would require the inclusion of an entire second outfit.

Yeah, I guess it's just surprising this figure doesn't come with one when it should. Could turn into a growing trend if it continues, but you're right. Not yet. And the expectation came from myself coincidentally only buying HT figures that came with 2 heads. Never really noticed how many came with just one until you have a look at it like that :lol

This one head, two head squabble should take a back seat to the Smiley Face problem. The figure will look great with the one head, but needs the Smiley Face to be complete.

Spent the morning in the dives down by the docks, still no one willing to spill the beans on the 'Smiley' incident. Had to get creative with my pliers then the info started pouring out.
Seems some perp named Warner is putting the clamps on his little friends.
must investigate further, booked on red eye to HK, perhaps Gospel has more info for me...?

Stay tuned!

Show no mercy.

Well, Jeffrey Dean Morgan wore a rubber torso piece (chest, back and arms) for the movie so why not the figure?

:lecture

That is interesting and it obviously worked really well too. I don't think they could've found a better actor to play Blake.

JDM is fairly tall, but he's a slim dude. And they didn't have time to beef him up before filming, so he wore the body suit. The arms were fake, too. This was similar to what Ron Perlman wore for HELLBOY. The seam was around the neck area, but was hidden by further prosthetics, make-up and (at times) CG.

No wonder I found his arms and body to look a bit odd!

You can see where the fake arms end in this pic:

Good catch. Looking over a few pics, you can tell now. Oh well, he looked and played the part better than anyone else could.

Just cause the pic is here, to me, that's the Comedian. I'm about over it at this point though, really starting to appreciate the sculpt, but still, to me that's the Comedian in his glory.

I never would've guessed he was wearing stuff though. He was still great as the Comedian, no one else could've done it as well. Thank god they didn't get Ron Perlman, would've been absolutely terrible.

Wooksters diary 17/11/09

Only been in HK a few hours, the rain is relentless today, waiting for the mist to lift in Kowloon harbour, took the ferry into the city.

No one seems to have any answers for me (must investigate learning Chinese). Got a message from a red headed kid (unusual in China), scrawled on a piece of paper- 'Club Obi Wan'.
Gospel was already there, waiting in a dimly lit booth; I sat in the next booth along. He/she was using a voice changer again, but told me I was barking in the wrong continent. It seems Mr Warner is till back home, and he's pulling the strings. When I looked round he/she was gone but had left a Smiley badge on the table, I put it on, Blake would have been proud.
Out on the street I saw a the red headed kid wearing Chuck T's with a Smiley on the side, seemed like too much of a coincidence so I followed, lead me to an internet cafe, he logged in, then I was distracted by a guy slurping noodles... remembered I hadn't eaten for 48 hours, no local currency though. I looked back to the kid but he was gone. Hurried over and sat in his seat, his last page visited was still open...Facebook, on the Smiley page... that’s when it all went dark...

Stay tuned!

The funny thing is if Hot Toys didn't put him on a rubber muscle body, he would be less film accurate! :lol

Yeah, that's basically what I was sayin'. People were fussing about it being on a rubber body suit, and the irony is that he was in the film itself.

Bring it on, Hot Toys. :rock
