until this comes along ...........

fixed..........:hi5:

Ever look at photos so much during the wait to receive yours that you suddenly find yourself feeling as though you already have the figure? And thus the excitement is reduced? Just kinda experiencing that now. I'm sure it'll wear off.

Im not really hyped for this figure anymore, but Hopefully that will all change when he finally arrives.

Unless the wait is for a figure that turned out underwhelming, no, I don't understand how you feel. Is it like waiting in line for a rollercoaster?

Yep! When youre on here you see everything in so much detail, then you've got unboxing vids etc etc. Its like youve already got it so there'll be no surprises opening the box :)

All that changes when you receive the package though :rock

Looking at those terminator 1 pictures makes me wonder why t2 is the favorite for the first figures to come out . I know they held a vote but come on . Nothing beats terminator. Now well be waiting until 2013 / 2014 to get this figure . By that time the worldwill have come to an end.

Any idea when Sideshow are getting this in stock ? Based on my notice email it should be tomorrow but I would have expected a further email by now ?

I say all of that in one package :rock

What is up with his endo eye in that pic?

1980s special effects. What Winston achieved back then was incredible, but, you can even tell there were limits as they used a mix of Arnie and a robot head for the shots once he gets in the truck. Considering that the makeup for T2 wasn't too much further than T1, I'd say Stan was quite ahead of his time with T1, it's a sad thing for the film world to have lost him.

Some people, like myself, just enjoy Terminator 2 more than The Terminator. I'm sure it'd shock the hell out of us, but I'm sure there are some who'd say they like T3 better than T1 or T2.

I'd settle for any updated version of the T1 Terminator . Would be wishful thinking to have Hot Toys include a couple of different headsculpts as well as different outfits. I think if they were to make one they would have a standard figure undamaged with the Tech Noir outfit followed by a DX with the Police station shootout outfit and 2 different stages of damaged heads.

Still looking forward to the T2 Terminator too and hoping that they add the long haired "special" headsculpt to the Sarah Connor figure as a bonus.

I know you're right about that. Particularly in the case of something I'm really quite fanatical about I have complete confidence that my excitement for this figure will very quickly be restored.

As for T1 the Tech Noir version gets my vote as my most wanted from that film.

Just an observation ............... I preordered Arnie on Jan 4th and then Sarah on the 20th of Feb. Why the hell is there a need for 3 months without anything?

There's no doubt, HT's has no strategy .............. they're like a Cheech and Chong movie ............ effective but 100% improvised.

Two words, IRON MAN. The Terminator and Terminator 2 are films that have been out for over 20 years. Their fanbase is established, and a majority of people that'll be buying the figures have a strong interest in them and will wait. Current releases like Iron Man sell half on devoted fandom and half on wow and hype, those figures have to be released timely with the film release.

Look what happened, HT was quiet from TDK and Iron Man 1 wrapping up as well as Terminator Salvation, they give us T-800 and Sarah and then boom, right into an onslaught of Iron Man 2 products, they're getting close to done with IM2, or at least their big initial hit, so now we'll see some more Terminator stuff trickle out. Terminator is a sure-selling property that's great for HT to use filling in gaps between current, hot releases. I knew from day one this line would be slow, I'm really shocked Sarah came so quickly after T-800, I figured we'd have 2-3 months between every figure, but they'll probably do them in short, 2-3 figure bursts, like HT used to do, POTC line came out that way, a couple, then when they shipped, a couple more, then a couple more.

The way I see it is that when they first come out with announcements and photos, all they got up is the prototype. Then there's all the paperwork with rights and production to fill orders not to mention receiving orders first. It would take them awhile to get the first batch out especially a figure as popular as the T-800 which most have us have waited half our lives for an awesome life like figure like this.
