The point it to win with the highest bid. Doesn't matter if you bid at the start or the last second, you are only going to win if you outbid the other people. Sniping does not always = win.

When I started out on EBay I was always getting outbid by .50 or $1 until one day I got so pissed I emailed one of the bidders that beat me (Wasn't suppose to do that) and was pretty much a jerk; vented my fustrations out on the guy. To my surprise the guy replied and instead of getting upset he explained the whole bidding game to me. Sniping is what almost everyone does and unless you get with it too you are going to have trouble picking anything up that's hot, it's what I've learned and it's worked for me for over 11 years. :gun

Never did get a chance to thank that person.:dunno

It ALWAYS looks like you're beaten by .50 cents to $1.00 if you're the second to last bidder. The bid prices go in increments.

Lets say for example you want this T2 T-800 figure and the current bid is $150. Okay, you snipe and put in $160 at the very last second. You lose, the person that bid prior to you won. The auction ends at $161 or $162, give or take.

The winner, for all you know may have put in $165 or $500. There's simply no way of knowing how much you lost by, or how close you were to winning it, unless you are the highest bidder.

Hah... man there are so many times I missed an auction because I was waiting for the last few seconds... damn my terrible memory.

Exactly, happened to me too many times also. I just bid my Max right off the bat if I really don't want to chance missing it. If it goes over my max, so be it. The problem with BIN, as soon as the first person bids it disappears. Then by the end of the auction it may very well go over the initial BIN.

I bought the Tamiya Harley Fatboy kit awhile back and I've finally started to put it together. I stripped off the cheesy factory chrome and repainted it with Alclad chrome. Other metal parts will be painted with a stainless steel finish. There are like 250 pieces to the kit and to make it look as best you can it just takes forever with the painting, sanding, gluing, etc.

I've done some sniping before in the last ten seconds, but I stopped doing that after my internet crapped out on me and I didn't get my bid submitted. :lol

My T-800 came alive and shot 3 rounds at T-1000.

So cool!!!

Its just you don't really get a figure to have a satisfying grip on a handgun. The handle of the gun doesn't fill the palm properly.

That's a nice advantage of the really squinted eyes of this figure too, with the right lighting in a photo, you can hide where the eyes are looking or make it seem like he's not just looking straight ahead.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing, this guy deserves an awesome custom bike like that. The kits aren't that expensive, but they take a lot of work to get right.

i know its old but i deleted the video by mistake
