Who got this one? Is it good scale and what does it take to repaint it?

Sorry for bringing back up a topic that many people have likely gone past but as I think I said, I never paid attention to any of the Harley discussion.

Its the best option as of now as long as you can repaint it.
How you repaint it, I have no diea.

Okay so this has been a pain in the ass today, mostly because I've had immense trouble threading the sling for the M79, but i finally done it and now my Cyberdyne t800 is finally almost nearly somewhat complete... :thud:

"I Had the T800 in a face-to-face mall hallway shootout dio before bashing the Cyberdyne T800, so here's what T1000 looked like from the hallway scene"

Thus concludes my first ever kit-bash (for now anyways, til the bag & some other bits come together)

  • Hot Toys... Blade (Right-Hand: Katana)
  • Hot Toys... Blade (Left-Hand: Glaive)
  • Coomodel... Bandoleer and Grenades
  • Coomodel... M79 Sling
  • Coomodel... M134 Minigun
  • Hot Toys... Comedian M79 Grenade Launcher

All I'd be concerned with doing would be painting the red parts black. Other than that it looks sound. Just what kind of paint, what method. Something tells me its not a paintbrush kind of job. I see these on ebay for decent low prices (and yet also some high prices - why the discrepancy?).

Why 2 seperate sales of this bike from the same guy at slightly different prices? And how is he so much cheaper than others?

So this may nauseate those of you who can't wait to tear open the figure the instant it arrives, but I only now set up all my HT figures, after having them fester in the box for about 6 months or so.

I know it came up at some point in this thread, since I remember reading it, but I'll be damned if I can find it now...

What is the trick to getting his arm to "tuck in", for the classic shotgun-up pose? I cant get his forearm very close to his bicep. So he looks like some revolutionary firing his gun in the air in celebration rather than just looking like a badass with his shotgun casually raised.

If I'm understanding what you're looking for, the trick is simply to pull the wrist peg out from it's forearm socket a little so the hand can bend further back.

If I understand what you're looking for... :duff

You either carve away at the bicep to make room for the forearm to raise or I think people pull the elbow joint out a bit? Not sure how effective these are. Personally I've opted for other poses that don't require anything like the above.

I'll try the wrist peg method, but if that doesn't work I'll be going with a different pose. I'm not messing with any carving of this guy. Knowing me, I'd screw it up and he'd have a sudden amputation.

¡Viva la Revolución!

I can't get over the weight of this guy... feels like the weight of a cantaloupe.

And like I mentioned before, I had a big back log of figures to set up. I had been waiting to get my office squared away, which took quite a while, mostly due to my procrastination. I had five figures to set up and mess around with, and before I knew it I had spent four hours. I always put the figures off because I usually have some bad luck setting them up (tiny pieces + fat fingers = irritation). But I had a hell of a fun time with this lot, so every figure from here on out means immediate opening!

edit: I just realized the moral of that paragraph was "playing with toys is fun". Which seems rather obvious.

Still curious about any suggestions people have about this^ I'm considering ordering one of these. I forgot to mention that each sale says there are 3 available. Why 3 available at one price and 3 at another? Is this unusual or a mistake or what...

You can always ask the buyer. Only he know why he priced them like he did.

Get the Tamiya Model kit if you are a junkie, im waiting for a ~ 300 dollar tag myself before buying, its bound to happen. In the meanwhile ive been researching on airbrush techniques to get the best finish for car paint job..

OK I've done that.

If I was to do that it'd need to be fully assembled (and painted?). I think this Barbie one is the easier option. I'd do something about the red somehow....

When you get it see if it can be taken apart, at least the tank and fenders. Then just spray paint it with an acrylic spray paint.

It's bound to happen? They're not in production anymore. Scarcity of supply drives prices up, not down. The guy on ebay now has it for $475but he had it before for best offer. But even then I don't see it going for $300. Guy before that wanted (insanely) $1,000.

Really? Man, that's just crazy! :horror

You think too much about the bike.
Just get it.

The ones you want to get are good enough.,
