Well done Aaron!
Pure win from top to bottom. :clap

Well, I caught "Terminator 2 - Judgement Day" on TV this afternoon and I couldn't stand having my figure still in the box. So even though I don't have an empty shelf in the Detolf for him, I decided to take him out and set him up.

He'll be sharing a shelf... :lecture

Fantastic figure and worthy of the 2010 Figure of the Year award. It bears repeating: Hot Toys is simply amazing. With each figure released, they continue to raise the bar. Ironically, it seems as if they are the only ones in the running...

Here are two quick shots of him in the classic pose. I think tomorrow "Royce" will be released from his box and be joining him... ;)

Yes but there's a good chance that it will be battle damaged, no clean parts, but still come with those weapons and clean glove hands. I have a feeling that without owning MMS117, you won't have the ability to make an accurrate Cyberdyne T-800.

...and you know this, how?

How do you know they don't pull off something special like a Thriller type box with one body and both sets of clothes/accessories. For all I know thats wrong too but I can't help but think they would want to make it special.

I agree with Maulfan. I reckon it'll be for the varying degrees of battle damage only with the next figure, if it happens. Otherwise you'd be talking a lot of 'duplicate' clothing items and accessories and 3 headsculpts, one with an LED feature. On that score alone, 3 headsculpts, I can't see the next figure covering the non-BD version of Cyberdyne T-800 aswell as the 2 main phases of battledamage. Has any HT figure release ever had 3 heads?

*IF* it was a two pack, Thriller style. One would have the bullet holes in the jacket. Of course you'd need to supply the small bullet skin breaks like before he's in the SWAT van.

The 2nd of course as you know full on battle damage/head. Wasted leather arm and all that.

Almost like the film with black rubber suit and cape where you swap heads or pop a spare one on...

Can you honestly see Hot Toys ending it as a mediocre package and one figure out of it? it just sounds cheesy.

I wouldn't say no to a figure that could somehow encompass the minigun scene aswell as the entirety of the steel mill sequence but unless they include PERS in the new non-bd head they'd just be covering old ground again for a large part. And even at that some people don't care about PERS.

I just think it would call for a lot more than has ever been put in a single release before. Now I'm not familiar with the Thriller figure mind you.

One body two sets of clothes even though the bottom half is the same. It's what made me think Hot Toys would finish it off in that style rather than just another figure in an average silver box.

There he is.
This figure definitely deserves some shelf space.
Thanks for sharing buddy.

What I see HT possibly doing is putting together a DX style T1 AND T2 Battle Damaged figure. Two head sculpts (1 from each film) both with LED light up eye. And two Costumes. One T1 style one T2 style. And one body. But that might be pushing it.

If HT went with just T2 DX then I could see two head sculpts. 1 minor BD and one final BD with LED light up eye. Two jackets. One full with bullet holes, one tailored for the destroyed endo arm. Include all the weapons seen for those two scenes. And maybe include a grated steel mill base.

Either way Id be in heaven.

^I have to say I'd be disappointed if it was the first suggestion. That'd be leaving too much out for my liking.

Like I said, I think that would be pushing it. But I think it would be hard to decided on which Battle Damaged T-800 HT would do as a DX....

I know Id prefer the T2 version getting the DX treatment though.

It's a been a while for me....the minigun was in one of those scenes, right?

T1 seems doable. I think 1 figure could cover both the police shootout and the BD look from the tanker chase. Theres no other 'version' or essential look of the T1 that needs doing (unless you count the endoskeleton) whereas with T2 the whole iconic fully armed minigun T-800 remains in the air along with 2 key BD looks.

But in light of the COOmodel gear I personally feel that the non-BD cyberdyne fully armed look is covered apart from the grenades being too small and the direction of the eyes on the headsculpt making some poses seem wrong (he should be looking down for the minigun scene or if you want a grenadelauncher reload pose).

Thanks, buddy.

One other question...
There's been a lot of talks with 'DX' being thrown around.

Has HT, at the very least, say they would produce a Terminator in DX or is it wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking as of right now, but I would wager that they are leaving the BD version for last and making him a DX would make the most sense.
