Theres some variation but that looks pretty normal and how most examples would look. It wasn't that much coated in blood in the film but thats the way HT did it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS 117 (is it that bloody?)

I guess perhaps you have discussed this issue before!

I just got some MMS117 accessories today - to add to the DX10, later when I buy it.

I just wanna ask you, guys... is the mechanical arm supposed to be THAT bloody? I see some videos and photos with some shiny metal parts but mine looks 90% all painted with ketchup! Could it be the lighting and camera flash with the other videos 'n photos? Please lemme know... Thanx!

Thanks, a-dev!

Just finished the bandolier (at least the front). I'm surprised how easy it was actually. Next step will be to get the two correct buckles and connect the back (it's held by a paperclip at the moment). And I'll repaint the shells, the green is bothering me. I might even try my hand at sculpting one, as the current ones are still incorrect in their shape.

Awesome execution. :clap

Thanks guys.

Nice work :clap. Seeing these pics is a bit odd seeing as how I haven't removed his sunnies since day one.

I actually agree, I've never displayed him without sunglasses in the two years that I've had him. I only removed them for the shots for accuracy's sake. I'm displaying him with sunglasses, don't really like his sculpt without them.

Great job on the bandolier. You did the spacing of the grenades just right and appropriate silver buckle is appropriate.

Someone remind me again why we tolerate that kind of a neck joint? Looking at that ugly thing I'm struggling to think of what the benefits are that could possibly make it worthwhile....

I don't really use it, but I don't think it detracts from the aesthetics of it overall. I like the way it works with the body, and you don't have to deal with the shirt getting pinched by the neck when you move the head around.

I'm not a fan of having a neckpost separate from the body either. I'd rather have the one's with an Integrated neck.

I disagree obviously, but OK.

On a T-800 figure you wouldn't see that the neck and body were seperate unless you displayed it shirtless...and I think around here pretty much I'm the only one mad enough to do that. But I'd happily go without that option for a seamless head/neck - an area which is visible all the time - albeit at its worst only from one angle.

I think there is room for both options, it just depends on the figure. I lke the way it works with the T-800, but the T-1000 works fine, too.

Forget the seems, for whatever reason, other than the Wolverine body, HT can't get their muscle body necks to look human, at least with necks sculpted to the heads the necks tend to look more realistic.

Thanks dev.

I like the added poseability of the separate head, it can give poses a lot more character. It really depends on the execution though if that gain is worth the sacrifice of aesthetics. Schwarzenegger has a very characteristic neck which is why he loses a bit of likeness because of it IMO. I'm still torn on the issue though, because I do really like the poseability.
