I took some pictures of my hugo bash. the head is a soldier story one i think. It looks enough like him i think. He's about 99% finished, just need a belt and a machine gun cleaning kit

Hot Toys has come a long way with factory paint apps vs. prototype paint app in such a short time span (late 2008 to now). I think a good example would be their just-released Blade figure.

Take a look at the prototype photos from HT:

I haven't seen a 1/4 scale PF or comiquette that comes close to that realism.

And I think I have officially gotten over my concerns regarding the headsculpt... still would have preferred the iconic chin-out look; but there's no denying this figure as-is will be amazing

Have to say I am a little put off by the price on him... $160 seems very high considering its a standard body and one head.

In some ways the price is understandable as non one is really at the same level as them... but still seeing a $20-$30 increase in basic figures from last year is scary.

How many of you would buy the "movie" Hitler if they made him?
I'd be a little too weirded out to have a Hitler in my collection I think.

It seems to me that their figures keep getting better and better, just look at the new Arnold, so I would expect them to continue increasing in price indefinitely as most things do. I guess we just have to hope for a raise to keep up?

I wouldnt, but not because its Hitler. Because although the story has much to do with Hitler, he himself is not in much of the movie and doesnt play much of a role in the story's events. MAYBE if every other character was made first I would get it, just to complete a set.
