Have to say I am a little put off by the price on him... $160 seems very high considering its a standard body and one head.

Guessing $160 will be the new price point for Hot Toys?

In some ways the price is understandable as non one is really at the same level as them... but still seeing a $20-$30 increase in basic figures from last year is scary.

I do agree that the price on this figure seems a bit high when compared to others, but could it be because of acquiring the Pitt likeness rights added to the cost? With all that said, there are places where you can get him closer to $145.

As for the cost of Hot Toys figures going up in general, well, that's to be expected of most consumer goods these days, but I don't think it's as bad as one would imagine.

There are still a lot of HT figures that you can get for less than $150. I mean, you can Pre-order Leonidas or Comedian for $135 at some places. The Tony Stark Mech test figure can be had for ~$145 and that one comes with a diorama and a very large accessory.

I feel that for most of their selection, HT's more expensive figures come with enough to justify the cost. There are exceptions, like Wolverine, but the craftsmanship on that figure is alone worth it, I think.

A must-have figure but I kind of wish they'd sculpted him with a closed mouth. Seems to exhibit more 'tude that way.

THAT...is exactly what I was thinking...well that and that I need to remember to take the porn out of the DVD player before the wife gets home:monkey1 j/k but yeah I think a closed-mouth would have been better

Yet ironically we more often accuse HT of choosing bland closed-mouthed expressions. It seems they can't win!

Can you share where you got it for so low?

my other local dealer, but I might have it like 2-3 months later than everyone else though.

So if time isnt an issue, I'd get it from him. Since its something that I would want for my collection, and I can totally wait cause I got my other pitt sculpt from rainman anyways. Plus, I need to save up as much as possible, since theres just too many stuffs on my want list right now.

But for stuffs like joker DX and batman DX, where I want to have it as soon as it hits the market, I normally go for ebay.

Wow! Maybe with Chris Waltz being nominated for an Oscar for this film, maybe we'll get a Landa figure afterall?

I'm surprised just how many Oscars this film has been nominated for, including Best Picture! :google

Would be sweet if HT distracted us with pics of Also then surprised us with the addition of Col. Hans Landa. The Oscars are in a month so maybe around then? Nice to speculate.

I took some pictures of my hugo bash. the head is a soldier story one i think. It looks enough like him i think. He's about 99% finished, just need a belt and a machine gun cleaning kit

Thanks man!! Looks good sepcially the outfit and gun!! The only nitpic is obivously the face and its the chin, just not square enough. He does have the intense eyes though. Other than that badd ass!!! :rock

Oh and Hans Landa oscar FTW!!

You're surprised? The Best Picture nomination was a lock, and Waltz is a lock to win.
