It's not a matter of could be though. Even looking at it from a financial standpoint, it's a no. Why would you pay a painter to spend all that time meticulously detailing rough sculpts before selecting one for the licensor approval? That's a complete waste of resources and bass ackwards.

True, but it's been known to happen. Every figure that has changed from prototype to production must have had at least a second, fully painted prototype made and sent for approval.

Just wish it wasn't chickenlittling. This piece needs every single order if we expect HT to do any other Alice figures or even look at doing other characters from the films. As it is, she's already looking to be doomed by lots of people as she's packed into Q4 with umpteen other releases.

As well as Superman, Captain America, and the new Batman and post-puberty Pred and Classic Predator are also Q4. This of course doesn't include any of the Star Wars jazz, GI Joes, Marvel, etc., that's also coming Q4 and on top of all that, you're supposed to find cash for X-mas too.
