I dont think milla's likeness rights have Anything to do with the tweaks. Milla's own likeness rights is is geared towards products she's endorsing or things of that nature. She gets paid lots of money for those. So let's say, other make-up, or perfume makers steal her pictures, of course she has the right to sue them.
This is more about a movie character. Shes already twitted that she's aware of this figure but she has nothing to do with it. That tells me HT got the rights to use her character from the movie makers.
One of the things I remember some people pointed out with the old proto was the face was too narrow where some people joked about it looking a little manly.
I actually agree as someone posted a comparison. I think the issue with the new pics suggest it was rounded too much, I think that could be the angle though. Would like to see clear shot that's overhead or eye view rather than from below view.

And if they never say anything about a new HS, and they just show the "final Alice" HS looking completely different from the prototype (at HT web on backstage section as usual) .. I say that, because they usually never say that they have changed a sculpt "literally"

Do you remember what happened with Alien nostromo figures or Billy from predator?? cause, they had the licensor aproval (movie.character, names) but however, they did'nt have the image rights of the actors
It's only a guess.. but maybe truth or not :/
And about this sentence:
If the Real Milla Jovovich has a narrow head shape :.Why HT does a wider, rounded and innacurate head for her now??...
I meant, the old Prototipe was'nt too narrow (just perfect and 100% accurate IMO) and the new HS looks to much wider now??

Im totally 100% fine with this. When the proto came out alot of people said it didnt look like Milla. Maybe a sister. But now the new one is out people are treating the proto as perfect. Both the Proto and current have asmuch resemblance to Milla as each other. One looked a bit butch and the other a bit round headed. They were both flawed. The thing is, alot of people moaned about the proto having a " long " head so they squished it up a bit and now its too wide...

I'm starting to dig this new sculpt more. Definitely more feminine than the first proto.
As I mentioned above, I did love the first proto but thought the face was slightly narrow.
I think this new sculpt looks good.

Personal preference I suppose, but a different Face Sculpt it is.

Personally, when I saw the prototype and SPECS pics I was shocked due her extreme likeness with Milla Jovovich, and never had a single complaint about it. Was perfect for me! and IMO she did'nt need any tweaking or improvement.. however I read some complaints about her likeness ¿¿??...
..
Then, mysteriously "The Surgeon Alice exclusive edition" appeared, at toys fairs and people thought that HT had heard their complaints...

Seems she has done the facial surgery to herself
I imagine, that those who complained long time ago, now also have their punishment in somehow

I felt there was something slightly off about the first sculpt, but would've been happy with it. At least happier than what is being shown now...
I see a lot less Milla in the new sculpt.
Looking at the side-by-side pics it really does look as if they just widened the face. Could it be just something they did during casting?
The shape of the eyes can be a bit deceptive since paint apps can make them look very different, but the nose and mouth look the same (except for paint apps on the mouth)...
Whatever it is they did, it wasn't advantageous to the likeness issue.

Her nose looks width and different aswell to me (less defined)..Looks wider according with the wider head shape, thougt her lips may be different cause a different painting, but..

Hopefully, they're reading all this bad feedbak and complaints in all forums, and they're working hard on it.
... and they end up giving us something more like the prototype finally
