Well I enjoyed the show. Good. Not great, but I'll give it time. Glad Maria Hill is in it, but what I really want from this show is that they use it as a vehicle to introduce a bunch of characters we won't get in the Marvel movies. So to that extent, a
little disappointed to see Extremis as the first subject. Hopefully that isn't the focus of the season.

I'm pretty sure they went that route with EP1 because it was a natural jumping off point from the last movie.

I think they're going to be all over the place with this show.

I watched last night, and quite enjoyed it. HT, any time you'd like to make figures out of Ward, May, Fitz, Simmons and Skye, I'll gladly put in my preorder. :yess:

We shot the pilot before Iron Man 3 was released.

Well they still would have known the plot for IM3 as well as that the natural lag time between a pilot shooting, getting picked up and airing would put it out after IM3s theatrical release... whether they timed it with the bluray release is a guess, but I've been working TV long enough to know very little happens by accident.

There is a small group of Producers at Marvel that split up their Tv and movie stuff and they are all always coordinating stories wth eachother. I'm sure there was input from them on the TV show as well.

Saw the show again tonight (we also saw it last month at D23). Looooove it.

So what are your theories on how he survived?

i think he's actually dead and we are now seeing some sort of cyborg that looks like Coulson

I think Coulson is an LMD, or Life Model Decoy. For anyone not familiar with the comics, particularly "Secret War", Nick Fury used an LMD to pose as himself while he went into hiding. Plus at the beginning of the Avengers, Tony Stark references LMD's when talking to Coulson on the phone.

"Hello, you have reached the Life Model Decoy of Tony Stark...."

So technically you may be correct, as an LMD is a robot disguised as a person.

I know how production works.

I know you know. But the implication I read in your other post was that bc the pilot filmed before IM3 hit theaters that the first episode being about Extremis wasn't to help to the show the last marvel film. Assuming that was your implication, I disagree with it.

Well, Hill did say to the new guy that Coulson "doesn't know and can never know", so I think he's a LMD.

:goodpost::exactly::lecture

I'm with you on that one.
:hi5:
After the show I was like...
"Why didn't Hot Toys make Maria Hill?"
Now that the show aired and she was in the 1st episode
they should definitely make her now!

Only after Pepper Potts
:lol
