On a custom Coulson I did for a friend I had to remove the ball the neck attaches to and reglue it lower into the torso a few mm, made a big difference.

Thanks. I actually took that one down and the head is sitting in my spares box now.

Alright well the headsculpt came in today and he is actually pretty damn tall. He's taller than Hawkeye. XD

I wanna wire the coat so it sits flush with his body but have no idea how to do so. I didn't take time to pose and fully futz the dude but here is how the whole bash turned out.

It looks good. An easy way to make the neck seem less obvious is to add some shoulder padding. It will make the shirt and jacket sit higher and make the neck seem less long. Or, remove the joint from the neck and use blu tack so the neck sits lower.

Also, on the subject of wiring the coat, buy some 1mm solder and make a tiny incision where the tails of his jacket are. Feed the solder into the lining from the rear, working it all the way round the front, up around the collar, down the other side and back to the opposite tail, then use some judicious sewing up and around the lining every inch or so to hold it in place(Just loops around the edge). Once you are done(The whole thing will take ten minutes), the jacket can be clasped closed tighter, but can also be posed. I also wired the tie in the following one:

What shirt are you using?

The shirt that came with the Pop Toys Windbreaker suit set.

thanks for the advice, man. How does one add shoulder padding? Kinda a noob at all this stuff since it's my first real kitbash. XD The most i've ever done was repaint accessories for my Winter Soldier Black Widow.

Actually, I just used blue tack to pad the shoulders up. It actually improved the fit quite a bit! Thank god I didn't have to cut the ball joint off the body and all that.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions everyone.

How does it look now?

That's great. Good job!
By padding, all i meant was to wad up some kitchen roll. Just cut strips and tape them onto the area you need to bulk up.
It can be used all over the body.

Great shield display Username, I have a shield set up with the symbol in the background like that but I couldn't find a decal large enough with the words going around like that (which is what I wanted) What did you use for yours?

I use a local graphics company that do the vinyl decal work on cars(Like vinyl wrapping and such like) and office doors, etc. We used them for the official signage at work on the door to our offices, so i gave them a call and the artwork, and they did the work for me. They also did my red carpet Avengers/Marvel decal.
I got it sized for the rear of a detolf. It's lying on a shelf at work right now as my collection is not on show.

I have the original art i used, but the place that made it thought it was too low res and re-drew it themselves in a higher resolution.

:lol Brainy was just referencing a wind machine for 1/6 red carpet photo shoot.

Ahhh.
Still doesn't make any sense to me, lol.
