i hope this doesn't affect UK stores getting the figure, there's no way i'm ordering from sideshow and end up paying huge customs fees no matter how much i like Coulson

It's only a sideshow exclusive in the US.
And between you and I, if you have a friend in the US, you can get it delivered to them and get them to send you the item, marked as "toy, $15, gift" on the customs form.

Why not direct from Asian retailers then.... Which sell it at USD145 to 150... and most get them faster than SSC... I'm personally getting mine at USD135

I'm not POing this.. There's no rush it seems.

Even Hawkeye and Fury were eventually offered at retail prices here, despite POs being sold out.

I'm actually also furious about the fact that local shops are selling Coulson at the same price as SSC.

Got Avengers Cap PO'd at $176, no way am I paying the same for Coulson

Seriously? What the heck are you smoking? When was the last time we had a HT figure at that price? I mean the PotC figures were $150 over 5 years ago

The problem is that the PoTC figures were really detailed. Coulson looks great but does not have an intricate costume - to the contrary - and has relatively few accessories compared to the other Avengers figures. This leads to a pricing disconnect, at least to me.

I like him a lot, but will probably keep that $175 for when Dark World Thor shows up. I need Thor more.

Yes its off, but from what I hear about UK customs I dont blame anyone for getting a pal to ship from the US with an "off" customs declaration.

This ridiculous $10 flat fee is smoke and mirrors BS. It's a crappy way to make people feel like this is closer to the same price bracket as the Sucker Punch chics when it's really in the Noland and Widow realm. Really this guy should have been $169.99 like the SP girls and offered by local retailers so we could've got it for less.

But I'm an addicted a-hole like all of us and HT knows it so I'll be getting this guy anyway. I'm just trying to find it for as cheap as possible.

It looks like Animaket wouldn't work for US customers because the shipping wouldn’t make sense for us. Any US guys here know of a better option than getting it for full price from SS?

2. Far from everyone has all Avengers figures preordered, I know some people do but they're a minority. The reason the rest of us do not is because of price. So yes, price matters with this figure as with all the rest.

'Whinge' as UN suggests, is a word with very strong and regular usage here in the UK. It seems that our Australian cousins use it too! As you guessed, it does mean the same thing as a 'whine'

I only pay import tax when i absolutely cannot avoid it. In most cases, i reply on my friends in Amercia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, New Zealand, Japan, Republic Of Ireland, Russia and Slovenia to be able to accept packages when i order from their respective countries and they will then ship to me with low marked value.
The rewards of being helpful to others is that they are helpful in return.

I never be able to purchase anything from Sideshow. The freight rate they charge is just... absurd. And also, they declare the full value, which means more money for import taxes and stuff... So I´ll have to accept that I´ll always will depend on evilbay...

But I did some good dealings in the market area here.
