It is the metal case to the Man of Steel Collectible Blu-Ray set. Works perfectly as a nice backdrop! It even comes with a nice, relatively sturdy acrylic stand that attaches to the case magnetically for display. I had mine set up using that originally but it was way too low on the shelf, so I rigged up a way to hang mine from the display case almost like hanging a picture on a wall and it made for a great display.

Awesome! My Jor-El just arrived today! I cannot wait to open him up. It makes the pain even worse that I have to wait a couple more weeks for Superman to come.

Thanks! I was going for the look of Jor-el as his hologram version that guided Clark throughout the movie. He always had his hands in this position in front of him that was very stoic and peaceful, and I felt it suited this figure amazingly well.

What is this plastic S I keep seeing people using as background in their pics.... is this something that comes with the figure? It isnt the stand on its side is it? Just curious.

Look who's getting ready to kick some butt…..I am using the flight stand as the armature lowering the armor onto Jor-El!! Took me a bit to get close to screen accuracy and it's not 100% but as close as I think I am gonna get.

Just received this guy from a fellow boardie (Thanks Ryno!). Amazing figure. The likeness is so Russel Crowe it's not even funny... one of Hot Toys' best sculpts to date in my opinion. I agree with most others... the stand is huge and the posing armature is unweildy and bizarre for this figure, but owell. The figure is an awesome addition and I'm glad I went for him. He will look great with my Cavill Supes arriving in a couple weeks.

Gotta give credit where's it's due ad your photos are great that being said im sure he looks great in-hand next to Supes, at first i didnt think I'd go for Jor el but seeing how well he compliments Superman I want him now

The case comes with an acrylic stand that has magnets embedded into it to hold the case in place. I took the portion with the magnets in it and affixed it to the bookshelf, then I just stuck the metal superman logo onto the magnets. I will get a few pics to show you guys what I mean a little later.

No problem... here ya go!

The first picture is the instruction sheet showing how the little acrylic stand is supposed to be put together. As you can see in the second pic I drilled a small hole into the very top of the acrylic and fed a wire through. I then drilled a hole into the back of the bookcase and fed the wire through and secured it to the back of the bookcase. The third picture shows how this results in the acrylic piece hanging freely without any obvious or visible hardware.
