it seem Hot Toys knew what they were doing and this set is golden. At the time of ordering I just couldn't justify the price for them even how amazing they both are. The price for both now is in the ball park for me and I will pick both up as a Christmas gift to myself. I'm even getting the Tweeterhead Maquette of Batman and Robin once Robin goes up for order. There is a fan base and sadly not sure what Hot Toys will do to continue the line. Hopefully the fans still get the car.

I'm just happy we got these. I fear Hot Toys with the Star Wars license greatly. I think figures like this will be a thing of the past once da force awakens.

No kidding. Between SW - OT and ST, and possibly PT - AoU, BvS and multiple Iron Men and Marvel properties yet to come, HT has and will continue to have a lot on its plate. That's why Batman Returns and Ripley POs can't come soon enough.

I'm sick of Star Wars at this point. I want new and better things. I really do love Star Wars but I'm done with all the collectibles for them. Prices have gone up and they ain't worth it to me anymore.

As a kid, I loved the show and I hope everyone who wants a '66 Batmobile gets one. But it's fairly obvious that HT misread the market/demand for a 50-year-old property.

Watch. When/if they announce a pre-order for the '66 Batmobile, a lot more figures will get sold.

I get that everyone wants to save as much $$$ as possible, but I feel sad to see that these 2 masterpieces fall under "conditional purchase" for some. You'd see people post that they're willing to spend $350 for the next exclusive Iron Man repaint or a DX Batman Begins figure but still feel that $340 for TWO figures with ample accessories, gorgeous packaging/boxes, and superb headsculpt likeness on both -- is still expensive.

I feel sorry for the real 1966 Bat-fans who are waiting for more 1966 figures and the car. Won't happen if sales of the figures is only guaranteed by putting 'em in the bargain bin.

I definitely fall in this category. I want the pair but something inside just prevents me from purchase. I do have a figure in mind that will make me buy the set I just haven't come across it yet...and I was a big fan of the show as a kid.

In my opinion, if a few dollars is holding you back, then you really aren't a big fan. Growing up in the 60's and 70's, watching the show, playing Batman and Robin with my friends in the neighborhood, dressing up as Batman for Halloween, I would have paid any amount to have these beloved characters sitting on my shelf. Missing out on the enjoyment over $10, $20, $30 is silly to me. Everyday when I walk past those two figures, I smile. I can't put a price on that.

I really love these figures, and I actually had them pre-ordered, but money's kind of tight, and, with the release of the series on Blu-Ray and everything else, if they go cheaper, I'll try to get them cheaper. Like I said before, I want to get these guys before a con next month, and, with the $140 to have West and Ward sign them, it'll be about equivalent to paying MSRP. On the plus side, I know that these are definitely what I'm getting signed. The Blu-Ray set isn't large enough to fit the two signatures without ruining the aesthetic.

Blu Rays are always destined to go cheaper on the long run. I plan on getting the digital copies of the series when it becomes available on iTunes, but my money is super tight and I know what my priority will not be and is marvel figures, the market is oversaturated with marvel hot toys.

This will be like the two face dig that went super cheap and my dumb ass missed the opportunity to snatch him up when I saw him for 70.00. Now you know how much he goes for.

Point is bargain bin items run out when you think you have the money, the trick is to get them before you pay double of what they are worth.

I agree- the saturtation of SW will increase 300% next year with the new film- everywhere you turn something will carry that logo- ughhh..and I just want HT to do A New Hope set and I will be happy for quite awhile

I still need Robin. I got West and love him, BUT I cut Robin till I can find a sale. With prices these days, I stretch my dollar every way possible.

While I don't think it will happen, I'd be all over Joker, Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman (Newmar) if they were made.

Sounds like these figs were right for you "at any cost". But since you dont personally know me or my situation it seems kind of immature to measure a fan by the way he/she chooses to spend his/her money. $300+ is a lot to funnel towards a pair of dolls and not owning them doesn't lesson my memories of the show in my youth. As someone who grew up in the 60's and 70's i figured you to be mature enough to understand this already.

You make an assumption based on a lack of knowledge. First of all, I said it was my opinion, taking that personally relates to your insecurities about yourself. I didn't say "at any cost', that is different than an amount. I would have paid $225, $250, $275, etc. to get these long sought after figures on my shelf.
If you actually paid attention to what I was saying, I wasn't suggesting that others pay an unlimited amount, I said it was silly (in my opinion) to wait months on end for another $10 or $20 to be knocked off the price.

If your "situation" puts you in a place where $10 or $20 will turn your life into a desperate situation, than I suggest you find another avenue to fulfill your needs. Stay in school and educate yourself so you can avoid this strife.

Still a little silly to assume without knowing all the facts of my person. The fact is you made an assumption of my dedication to a property without personally knowing me, an error on your part and an opinion that probably should not have been expressed in the first place given, again you not having all the variables to accurately asses what you were trying to convey. Yet you continue to assume, again without knowing me or my personal finances. Why does my wanting to save money even warrant a response from you in the first place. It is my personal choice and one that is of no consequence to you. Unless you like me(picking on someone for such trivial matters can suggest romantic feelings), in that case im taken, sorry.=)

I'm glad you're sorry, thanks for apologizing.
