What with all the love for light armor version, this pic of the armored version definitely is the best I've seen. It's the quintessential Thor fig.

haha tell me about it... it's 36 here in Manila. good thing my office runs AC 24/7. Even the manual says to avoid heat and sharp objects

36? It actually gets cold there? And you're still running AC?
:lol

I didn't keep track of the whole Light v Heavy Armor versions when they were announced.
Could anyone explain why someone would get the heavy version? Is it only the sleeves?

Now that the Light version comes with the poncho as well and the sculpted flying stand (which is very very cool with Thor)
I don't understand how they are comparable, is the heavy version cheaper? or does it come with anything else apart from the cheap
piece of card base?

Heavy version slightly cheaper, comes with that large asgardian teleportation base thing, armored sleeves, that's about it I think.

no your right, the doesnt seem better compared to the light, well to me it doesnt

but the Light armor is very limited and you can only waitlist for it now.

so most people only have the 1 choice

Thanks. :duff
That Asgardian thing is just card so this does seem like better value. Apart from the cost, the new flying stand and sculpted rock looks fantastic with Thor.

Didn't know the Light was limited, makes sense now...

Very impressed with the proportions on this figure. no more giant feet, or tiny heads. It's a good one HT. :rock

Also, like to clarify something which I've heard discussed on here. Whilst bigger than the previous Thors, This is NOT at the same scale as Man of Steel" Superman. I know somebody mentioned this being the "new correct 1/6th HT scale", it's not Superman is still huge compared to Thor, just overall a bigger scaled figure. The heads in particular show a huge difference when put together, Supes is way larger.

For me personally, I just prefer Thor fully armored. All the comics and renditions of Thor that were armored looked uber cool to me, so maybe that's why? It don't matter if it has more or less accessories coming with it. And plus, the Light Armor is hard to get over here, and scalpers go real nuts on pricing them. Nearly one and a half times more than the armored.
