Awesome, just saw that you got yours DiFabio, that was pretty fast shipping! Yeah, that grapnel w/ holster has been a long time waiting since the DX02 one was just big and wrong... definitely a nice piece to have so you don't have to hide the grapnel under his cape in the back. Sorry to hear about the belt.

Yeah, the DX 02 holster was never right to me.

Wondering how I should approach this.

Is that the one that broke off? I couldnt really tell since Ive yet to comprehend on how the mechanism work this time around.

So does that mean the belt is better on the DX12 then?

Yeah, that's where it broke. That yellow part you see goes throughout the entire belt. With Hot Toys' shoddy glue, I'm surprised more links haven't snapped off.

As for being better than the DX 12 belt, that's up for grabs. I love that you can customize your own belt with as many accessories as you want in any way you want, but it just makes the whole thing more prone to breakage because of how fragile it is. I like the DX 12 belt because the pieces are already on there for you and can't be removed. The foam strip was also thinner than this new black one.

Looks like theyve got a nice concept and idea, but fails at the execution of the final product.

Does anyone see this as being a rushed job, on the Wayne outfit? He clearly wore a brown wing tips/dress shoes, not black. I cant get passed that, even the ****** 2009 Medicom one got the colors correctly. :lol

Does putting the holster grapnel on the DX12 belt really stand out or look drastically different due to the coloring of the belts being slightly off?

It's out, what, nine, 10 months after PO? It is a rush job...for Hot Toys.

2 of the 3 holsters are actually a slight, slight shade compared to the last. I found the lightest one went well with the DX 12 belt.

The colors aren't too bad when put on the DX 12 belt, no. It's better than that nasty, faded, dark green that the DX 02 was.

With how many parts and acc this one comes with, yes, its a rush job. But I dont think they are planning to do a v2 with this one, just cause they know they dont need to try so hard now and it would still sell out regardless.

Funny thing is, most of us prolly enjoyed and was in awe of the DX02 (oil or not) longer than we did on the DX12 even though it was a better product all around. :lol

Well, yes and no. I'm sure the Alfred figure had been in development for some time, HT probably had some reservations about releasing it on its own. The Bruce Wayne is essentially the DX12 alternate headsculpt and the suit is... it's a suit.

HT is about to pour more time and money into TDKR armory, but puts it on the shelf after it notices what Toy Legend is up to. It tweaks the DX12 eyes and mouthplates and presto! Batman Armory set for $625.

They need to crush out the competition no matter how small they may be. Its good that it resulted HT to release this ver instead of the TDKR ver, but in the long run, Im not sure if its a good idea to let HT monopolize the market all by themself, especially for us collectors' sake.

The thing that amazed me about the DX 02 was the cape pack with sticky bomb look. Setting that up was an awesome day.

Even back in the day though, I wasn't keen on the color and sheen of those belts. The color and build of them weren't as nice as the MMS 67 or MMS 71. I think I left that entire plastic tray with the batarang, grapple, holster, belt, etc. in the box for all my time of owning it.

Well, everybody likes competition except for the top dog. I don't see anybody challenging for a while.

And I'll probably buy TDKR armory when it comes out. :monkey1

Yeah, I remembered I couldnt sleep the night before since I was gonna meet up with a bunch of friends who decided to buy it from a reseller. It was Dec and was a nice early Xmas gift for myself. I remembered being there early and had the chance to select amongst the set since there was some warped bat ears. :lol

Opening the DX box was like opening a collectors edition CD album of your favorite band, you enjoy and read all the little details like the paragraph of summary on the cover, the material chosen for the box, the 1:1 batarangs, almost comparable to a fine dining experience. Those were the appetizers, and unveiling the cover was like getting to the main course. I hardly have those moments anymore though, now its all bout, "oh ****, I just opened this and devalue it, wonder if HT will announce a V2 version as Im opening this, and Im gonna be stuck with this sub par product next year"

EB almost did but then due to the CEO's antics with his countless teasers, and bad QCs kinda drop the ball. Seems like they arent interested in head to head competition against HT and are focusing on the small niche market that they have now.

The waterfall armory looks like pewp.

Get this one.

Get both. But yeah, if you could only get one, this will be the one.
