I expect a more "robotic" Vaderesque Kylo from all the damage too

I don't think it was that significant really.

A facial scar and thats about it. He didn't lose any limbs

Yeah placed my order last night after waiting to view the movie. I didn't know i'd like this guy this much!

He looks like i always envisioned a
Solo/Skywalker offspring to look like

I warned you the thirst would be real after seeing the movie lol

I love the look of the figure and I'll be getting one myself, but I still wish he came with a bit more. Would love to have seen the melted Vader helmet included, as well as a head sculpt, although I doubt I'd ever actually display this figure without the helmet, it would still be a nice bonus.

As for other characters after seeing the movie...

Phasma...

I'm really hesitant about preordering Captain Phasma after seeing the movie. I was so looking forward to that character leading up to the film, and found myself so disappointed with how incredibly minor her role actually was. She was on screen for, what? 2 or 3 minutes total? And she wasn't involved in any sort of conflict through the entire film. She was literally thrown into the garbage.

And Snoke...

Disappointed with this guy as well. It's probably my own fault for this though, reading all the ridiculous fan theories for months leading up to the films release, there was no way I could have avoided setting myself up for disappointment with this one. I'm sure they're saving his big reveal for the next movie, or possibly even the third in the new trilogy, but I can't help but feel let down by the exceptionally small amount of screen time this guy got. And what we did get wasn't actually even him, not in the flesh, at least. After seeing the movie we actually still know just as little about this character as we did months ago. We've seen his face, but we know nothing of his backstory whatsoever.

I'm passing on this release unless Hot Toys decides to sell the Driver head sculpt separately.

I'm waiting for Kylo Ren V2

My figure has been sitting in ISC Chicago for the last three days. I thought for sure I'd have him by the weekend but it's looking like next week at the earliest. Oh well, now I can put him under the tree.

I have a cool idea for a picture that involves my ANH Vader figure. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Would love if HT offered the head separately whos gonna get on FB and petition it lol? (i have to have it regardless though favorite character in movie for me)

So I sold a few pieces, and have about 300$, should I get this figure, or put the 300$ towards the Anovos Kylo Ren helmet?

i grabbed the black series helmet ..nice piece, visor needs modding but still .

Gonna post this in a few different threads instead of creating one. Just for those who want to know....

First Order Hierarchy (I think this is right, gathered from Visual Dictionary plus my assumptions)

-Supreme Leader Snoke
-Kylo Ren
-General Hux, Commander of Starkiller Base
-Stormtrooper Commander Captain Phasma (Captain is a simplistic term not indicative of rank)
-Admirals (Black Armband with Red/Black/White stripes)
-Colonels/Major (Teal/Aqua color Pauldrons/Arm Bands)
-Captains (Red Pauldron, Hot Toys call these "Officers")
-Sergeants (Black Pauldron)
-Squad Leader (White Pauldron)
-Stormtrooper Weapon Specialists (Flametrooper, Riot Control Trooper, Heavy Assault/Gunner Trooper)
-Regular Stormtroopers

Squad Formation
A squad consists of ten troopers. One Squad Leader. One weapon specialists that can include on of the following: Flametrooper, Riot Control Trooper, Heavy Assault Trooper. Eight regular Stormtroopers.

Curious, how so? I hope you're not saying that because you're comparing it's price to their plastic Stormtrooper helmets...

Because I think any helmet replica that costs that much is a rip off. No matter what the material is. Except for precious metals like Silver and gold I guess. It's my opinion. Similar to how some think the price of a Lexus is a rip off.

I also have the Black Series helmet and I don't think it's worth $80 either though I like it.

no sweat, I was just asking. I'm not here to change anybody's mind or anything. I've read so many people complaining because they couldn't understand the price difference between their Stormtrooper and Kylo Ren helmets.

You can clearly see the markup they have on the Anovos helmets which is my primary critique. The whole "Preorder and get it for this price, or get it when it releases and pay $150 more". I get the purpose of doing it that way since it's almost made to order, but they run out of stock a lot anyways so it's not making any difference.

I can't speak about their pricing because I don't have anything to do with that. But as a Star Wars helmet collector, I like the incentive of early bird pricing. Star Wars helmet prices are just what it is and if I could save money by PO'ing early, I have no problem doing it. And like you said, they'll sell out anyway, so what difference does it make? The difference is I'll have an extra $150:lol

Anyway, if you were able to early bird PO their Kylo Ren helmet, it's pretty much comparable for what you'd pay for a custom one anyway, so you might as well go licensed. If someone hesitated and they're stuck paying the MSRP of $700 now, that just sucks for them.
