I can't speak about their pricing because I don't have anything to do with that. But as a Star Wars helmet collector, I like the incentive of early bird pricing. Star Wars helmet prices are just what it is and if I could save money by PO'ing early, I have no problem doing it. And like you said, they'll sell out anyway, so what difference does it make? The difference is I'll have an extra $150
Anyway, if you were able to early bird PO their Kylo Ren helmet, it's pretty much comparable for what you'd pay for a custom one anyway, so you might as well go licensed. If someone hesitated and they're stuck paying the MSRP of $700 now, that just sucks for them.
Right I don't have a problem with them doing that. But that tells you the kind of markup they put on these things when they can initially sell them for that much less initially.
