Double-bingo. Either eBay or TA. I doubt there's going to be much incentive to buy 2.0 if you already have 1.0.

I wonder if they'd do an exclusive with JUST the Adam Driver head (and maybe the Vader accessory) but not the helmeted face. Just to really screw with us.

Haha I'm well aware of HT's practices, but those editions had some variation to appearance. Aside from losing this head covering, Kylo wears the same thing for the entire movie. All he does is take off the helmet and get injured...

Joker has different outfits and situations. And I'm pretty sure the Iron Mans have small to large changes to the armor and coloring... lol

Other versions of what? He literally wore the same thing the entire film. If they release one with the head sculpt it will just be the exact same figure with a head sculpt. And you can find plenty of parted out ebay auctions.

I see 2.0 coming with Driver sculpt, battle damage (Chewie's blaster gut-shot and saber-slashed robes), Vader's melted helmet and Kylo's helmet with moveable faceplate. (When he removes it you can hear it de-pressurize and the face plate moves out and up a bit). This will be an accessory like Captain America's helmet, where it's not wearable. The tattered cape and hood won't be included either as he wasn't wearing it in the 3rd act.

I now see why Hot Toys decided to stitch the cape and hood to the rest of the outfit. If it were removeable then the next release wouldn't be all that different. So there's my take guys. I already have this figure and will still get the next one no matter. I've just been thinking about this with all the "I'm waiting for the next release since this one was rushed" talk, and this is my guess as to what Hot Toys has planned for the next iteration. You guys think I might be on to something or just plain on something?

Just plain on something because of the bolded. Possibly alcohol.

It has nothing to do with Star Wars, I just see no chance Hot Toys does what you suggested.

This is their biggest license aside from iron man. They are going to milk this thing to death. There is definitely going to be a 2.0 or DX with driver sculpt and most likely the vader mask. I guess people could just get the head off ebay, but you know its going to be $100 easy.

No DX but HT will do a driver scuplt with a vader mask. They did a Thor with sleeves and one without sleeves for Dark World and Star Wars is much bigger

Nope.

Darth Maul is the only Sith I would ever display without his hood/mask. The lack of an extra sculpt for this figure has not impacted me in the slightest.

I do think it would be cool to get the Vader helmet though, but I can just buy that separately at some point down the road.

I wonder if that one will be more of a final battle/battle damaged version that won't come with his helmet. It may come with two sculpts, one with and one without scar. That would make each Kylo Ren release distinctive.

You are not alone. I'm not sure why people would want the sculpt but to each their own. I am still really surprised that they revealed his face in this movie. The mystery of the character should've been built up more. We didn't see Vader without his mask until the second movie and even then it was just the back of his head, but it was great for building the mystery around the character of Darth Vader. I think this was a huge mistake on Force Awakens.
