I like the new look. I like the TFA look better, but still think its cool theyre evolving the character instead of having the exact same look.

Both TFA versions of Finn and Kylo are better looks, in my opinion. I think Finn's outfit looks a little more "Star Wars" in this one, but I still prefer the first outfit.

The Kylo helmet by itself without hood looks proportionally too small. Thats why i prefer the TFA version myself.

I agree, it looks a bit small without the hood covering it. I thought that too in TFA when he wore the helmet without the scarf and hood.

My preference is actually switched with TFA and TLJ. I prefer him with the helmet on with hood in the TFA outfit. TLJ on the other hand, I prefer him without the helmet.

Welp, made the right choice nabbing this figure seeing as they changed the design in TLJ.

Regarding the helmet, I don't think it's too small. I mean, it's not like a trooper helmet where there is bulk and lots of room inside - it's a pretty form fitting mask.
The 1:1 are like this as well. It's actually really comfortable to wear.. lol

btw did anyone bother cutting the scarf from the shoulders? I haven't done it on mine since I think it looks good the way it is - but if it makes a big difference, I might do it.

With the reveal of the prototype of TLJ Kylo Ren figure, I'm looking forward to all of the "I still love this guy" photos of this awesome figure.

We'll see. They're different enough that I think a lot of people will end up getting both. So I don't know if we'll be getting a lot of those photos haha. If they just make an updated version of the TFA one, then yeah. lol

I did it and I think the scarf drapes on the shoulders more naturally as a result.

Did the scarf mod. Helps with poses having Kylo not looking straight ahead. Gives more natural display options and very simple as there are only a couple threads to remove.

I did it on mine, and I sort of had to because it was sewed on too tightly. Or, the hood was pulled too low and tight when sewed on, so it didn't look good whenever I would turn his head. I just snipped the sides but left the one in the back for now. I may even end up cutting that one too. But already it looks much better now and I can actually shape the hood.

What's the scarf mod ?? OK I'll go back and have a read later, but I'd be interested in anything that makes the hood a bit more flexible for that turned head look.

I really need to get him into this pose one day too.

Basically, its just two threads to cut so the shawl and hood are literally two separated parts. That way, you can have the shawl resting on the shoulders the way you want and have full mobility for the hood. With some futzing, you can achieve any pose you want and have a realistic result.

I posted these the other year, it was easy to remove the hood by snipping the threads attached to the outer layer.

Just haven't done it yet. But one of my favourite poses.

I currently have him in the force push pose, like when he stopped the blaster bolt. That needs a bit of body and head turn, and that's actually where I was interested in the hood/shawl modification. So when he turns his head to hood moves as well a bit.

I currently have mine in that pose that you like, but the hood being attached to the shawl does somewhat restrict that pose also since it requires a head turn and the hood doesn't turn with the head.

Have contemplated doing the mod, but just haven't gone through with it yet. Which threads exactly need to be cut?
