I know this is blasphemy. But i'm considering just collecting EP7 figures. As much as i love the OT, i need something NEW and fresh! So if ep7 is good it won't be as hard. I love the OT, but i'm ready to embrace some new ST lore. People say yeah the TPM looked good as well, listen fool me once....... This is different this looks phenomenal and Lucas is gone.


But then again i have to deal with Vader, EP6 Luke, and an Emperor. Which are my really only MUSTS from the OT. I want more but i just can't afford to go balls deep. If i can stick with those from the OT, i'll be ok just doing EP 7,8,9.

(I'm 40 in a few months i can watch the OT behind my eyelids anytime i want. Totally ready for the sequel and SW movie we've all been waiting for since '83)

I am excited for the new SW lore however, I will continue to support OT. I've officially stopped collecting any other license / company focusing solely on SW which helps with the financial impact. All ready for Dec 18th regardless who is or who isn't

I'm just getting Boba Fett from OT and maybe The Emperor. I think TFA is going to be awesome and I'm excited as hell lol.

I can totally understand this sentiment, many of us are really wanting something new in our favourite universe, but the OT is the only reason that's true. Many people wanted more from the Star Wars world they even tried to stomach much of the PT output for so many years. A friend of mine will still watch the PT films occasionally, even though he doesn't care for them, and I ask him why he puts himself through that, he just tells me he wants to be in that world again so he'll watch the films. Crazy, but understandable.

I know i won't be able to give up ALL OT figs... Vader, EP6 Luke come to mind.

But i'm really ready to embrace something new. I can't stand the PT and as cool as Maul was /is, i could never buy a figure from that because of how i feel about the movie.

I ended up getting a couple PT figs, a couple clones and the STAP. But, I'm not just interested in something new, I want something GOOD. Otherwise it might be time to just let Star Wars go. Keep my memories of the OT and leave everything else.
