Hilarious they can't even be bothered to take new photos of his back.

I hate that we're all just okay with this reissue trend. There should be a rule that if they releasing a figure more than 5 years old it needs to be a proper 2.0.

I thought the same thing! That back view for some reason is the original DX09 with the garbage bag cape, as if they forgot to take a photo of his back so used an older one instead. So maybe the new cowl won't have the panel after all.

I don't care for the new cape too much... but gawd that old cape is tragic.

I always wondered if the screen cape was made of latex, I think, would a latex cape work? Latex gloves are quite thin and fold easily. Latex would rot though right?

Yea that’s what I was thinking too. All the pics from the back show the old cape which makes me think it’s also just the old 89 figure in the behind shots.

I don't care for the new cape too much... but gawd that old cape is tragic.

Oh, is that true? I never ordered. Came close, once.

Guess I'm one of the few liking the new version over the DX09. The overtextured cowl will be smoothened out a bit once it's downgraded in production so not really an issue in my eyes and it matches the way it looked in the movie depending on the lighting/shot.

There's just something really wonky and off with how Hot Toys did the eyes on the DX09 that I can't look past. They look too big, wide-eyed and un-like Keaton. A by-product of them not being able to do high quality PER eyes back then. Over bulbous shape to the cowl makes it look weird as well.

Much better eye proportions on the new one, the shape of the eye lids is better and they look more realistic. Has that subtle squint that Keaton had during the movie.

The old DX09 mouth was horrible, like he just ate a hot dog mid burp and got ketchup on his mouth.

No idea what they were going for with that.

This new one has so much more character.

Yep, that's exactly the moment they were going for and I think they got it.

I think the old smirk face is better but the new bloodied face is better.

Just ordered the DX. I already have the dx09, so whichever head looks better will go on the diorama next to the car. The other will go in the batwing, where you really won’t see much of him anyway.

And still cheaper than current ebay prices. That’s a win-win

Wrong. Neutral sculpt vs neutral sculpt the DX09 is better, and you have to compare prototype vs prototype to be fair. You went out of your way to highlight the worst faceplate, with the worst lighting, using a production photo vs a prototype.
