Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Well all the T-600's in T:S were broken down, there wasn't one that was in top shape, probably still would have been a little too fake looking but maybe not as much as the beat up ones look.

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Wasn't there an episode of TSCC that had a new(ish) T-600?

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

There were 600s in TSCC, but they looked like crap too.

You do realize that Terminator history has the T-600 as looking bogus.

"The 600 series had rubber skin, we spotted them easy."

Kyle's statement, based on what we saw in TS, should have been more like:
"The 600 series wore rubber masks, and were as bid as the Incredible Hulk, we spotted them easy. But these are new, they look human. Human proportions, everything."

Well all the T-600's in T:S were broken down, there wasn't one that was in top shape, probably still would have been a little too fake looking but maybe not as much as the beat up ones look.

Everything in TS was designed to look cool, not to be realistic, not even in the Terminator world. Martin Laing ain't no Stan Winston, and McG ain't no James Cameron.

Even though this was supposed to be real in T1, it is actually rubber skin, and I think this is what a 600 should really look like, minus the blood and sweat.

The rubber masks on the TS 600s don't even have eyelids or fake eyes. There is absolutely nothing convincing about them even come close to making them infiltrators.

"The Terminator is an infiltration unit." Not a bid stupid robot that plays dressup and walks around shooting at stuff that moves.

"The Terminators are the newest, the worst." If they are new, they shouldn't even be around in 2018 if Kyle is talking from a 2029 point of view.

Good point. What happened here? Are we supposed to construe that although judgment day got delayed by T2 the evolution of Skynet's armies was accelerated?

No you're suppose to construe that Mc'G really wasn't paying attention :lol it doesn't go any deeper than that.

skynet was trying to create them early but the early t-800s were destroyed at the end of salvation so we should be back on track when it comes to what kyle said in t1

Well... I've played the TS game and the Skin-jobs (that's what they call them) actually scamper away from you when you're at a distance. After you chase them up the stairs or around the corner, then is when they attack.

Kinda smart if you ask me, but there's no way these things can fool anyone on a clear day. It would have been better if they disguised themselves as scrap metal.

"Hey, why's that pile of trash moving?"

Dah.. dah.. dah.., da-dah
:lol

Skynet is aware of it's previous attempts at killing Sarah Connor, John Connor @ 10 years old (and possibly John Connor at 20-something years old) I filled in the plot holes myself, something MCG should have just done. I assumed Skynet was aware it was already going to build a t-800 anyway, so it thought wtf, let's make it sooner, so they made Marcus, the logical step between a t600/t700 and the t800(perhaps, i dunno) to help it at making an even better T-800. This reasoning is also behind why Skynet wants Kyle, then it can just reset everything.

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

IF the events of T2 stopped J-Day, then Skynet should not have known anything, except for the T-X coming through to upload Skynet (virus) into the web by cell phone when it searched for John's Lieutenants' addresses.

BTW, Skynet did not design the Terminators. Cyberdyne did. It's a Cyberdyne Systems Model 101. And that must mean they at least had a prototype made before the war (if it had started in 1997). And that prototype would have had rubber skin, since the flesh was a fairly new thing by the end of the war in 2029.

So, the model 101 is the design of the endo and its use of camouflage, both of which make Arnold, and the 800 is the cyborg. Cyberdyne made the 600 series. Skynet upgraded it to the 800 series. The number simply being a natural progression.

Can we get a broader shot of that shelf? :D

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Debating on whether or not I should order a t-600 to go along with JC......................................

You're right of course, I forgot that main point.:banghead

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Just got this guy today. A little disappointed though. :(
I had such a hard time getting him together I broke his knife gauntlet thingy and has to glue it back on. Also his holster was almost impossible to fit on.
The worst thing is there seems to be missing paint from his nose. It looks like it's been scraped off. It's not so noticeable in the pics but glaring in person.
Does this warrant me sending it all the way back to hong kong as postage would probably cost as much as the figure.
