Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Looks like Bale 100% IMO!

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

looks like Bale to me also. and a damn fine job at that. Connor and the T-600 are the ones I'm looking forward to the most. :D
there both just unbeliveably done..:clap

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

I'm sorry but I seriously cannot see Ethan Hawke anywhere in that sculpt. To me it looks like Bale.

Only thing that's off is the nose.. but for me that's fine because Bale has a F'd up nose similar to Owen Wilson and in 1/6 scale just imo, that would look REALLY weird. Right now, the sculpt and more importantly the paint looks great. HT needs to work on Marcus.. John Connor is fine.

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

That pic looks 100% like Bale .............. angles and lighting are everything to "photographing" a sculpts likeness. Its all about how it looks in hand, this one is very nice.

I also haven't heard anything about Bale backing out of the next 2 Terminator films either.

There is an art to it, especially because most collectibles are based off of films and such where creative lighting is used so we need to see the collectible under similar conditions to have it click in our minds, yeah that looks like such and such. As nicely lit as the John Connor figure is in the photos, it is poorly lit to show off what I feel is a great Bale portrait. The best likeness shots are very close up and start to take the light and shadow aspects out of the equation.

I'm excited for this figure.

It was the lighting man from T4 way of getting back at Bale!

Was it Kojun that sculpted Connor? Can't remember.

Yup, his first publicly unveiled piece for Hot Toys. I think it looks great, but some of the things, like the hair and beard paint to aid in them looking thin in plastic form, will require certain care when photographing to show off the Bale likeness, I'm looking forward to the opportunity.

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

where can I find this rifle(HK416) for Hot toys John conner?

Soldier Story is strongly rumored to release a 1/6 HK416 in the very near future. It's unknown what kind of optics or other accessories it will come with. Hopefully it will come with a C-More sight as seen in the movie.
Either way I will be swapping out the inaccurate HT M4 with SS's HK416.

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

I think the custom Bale head looks more accurate

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Its not inaccurate , he uses two different guns.

You know what i really loved on his costume in the movie, during the last scene, on his left arm he had a belt loop to hold the grenade shells vertically on the underside of his arm. I thoght that loooked Soooo freakin cool  I wish Hot Toys added that

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

he's right though. the nose and the eyes are not entirely accurate. it's closer to bale than to hawke, but it's still not perfect. hope they got it corrected before i receive mine.

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

This John Connor figure is really nice, the head sculp is fantastic! I also really like the fact that Bale took the role as Connor. I can't wait to see the movie and I also hope I own this superb Hot Toys figure, but first I need my first two HT Preds.

There is no such thing as a "Perfect" likeness or figure because no matter what, differences with arise along with different personalities. I couild say that the HT's Rambo III figure to this day is the most perfect 1/6 scaled figure ever made and I can guarantee you, to others its not.

Is this Bale/Connor sculpt perfect? No but considering what I just typed above it could be. What is "perfect"?
