Exactly, between being cool figures and being of a character that means something to the fan base, despite whatever feelings you have about T:S, it could do well.

I was locked into getting this Connor before seeing T:S simply because it's John Connor, who isn't represented in my Terminator collection at all, and it's a great looking figure.

If a collectible is cool enough, it can appeal to customers even if the source material really turns them off. A good example, I'm not a huge fan of General Grievous as he was portrayed in Revenge of the Sith, but I enjoy his look in collectible form and love getting nice pieces of him.

As long as John sells well, we've got a good chance at a second Connor figure.

Back on Connor....I do wish this first figure would include that cool crushed T-600 base we saw in those leaked pics for the possible second figure...it would really be cool with this first version...

I agree on the base, even if we get the second figure it'd be nice to not have to get that figure for it, incase my ideal of getting two didn't work out, and especially if the second never comes to be, it'd suck not having the base at all.

Quick side note, I agree with you on GG's new CW portrayal, I'm thinking more the threatening version he was in the first CW before he started his slide to what he is now.

That headsculpt looks like Bale from Harsh Times.

By the way, I would kill for a 1/6 Machinist Bale figure. My favorite role of his.

I own the Neca ones. They aren't half bad.

I just think The Machinist would be amazing and unlike any other figure. With a sickly thin and anatomically correct skeletal rubber body, instead of the usual muscle body. Top it off with a great head sculpt of a scared, skinny, beat-up Bale and bloody, loose fitting oversized clothing. Throw a bloody knife in his hand and a pack of smokes in his shirt pocket. Aces.
