They don't suck. If you want it sooner you have three options.

1)Get it off ebay from a distributor from Hong Kong and pay a lot shipping. Fastest.
2)Get it from Toys2 and pay less than Hong Kong but wait till it comes across the pond and high shipping. Faster.
3)Get it from Side Show and pay retail with normal shipping. Fast

Or buy it from Alter Ego or some of the others and get it cheaper but wait longer. Alter Ego is a great place to order from. They have some of the best prices and the customer service is great.

Its not necessarily alter ego comics, but hot toys. It seems like ive been waiting for this forever! After all this waiting I dont even care if i get connor or not. hot toys are cool, but they are not worth waiting over half a year to get one toy! Probably going to cancel my order later.

T-600 and John Connor both with 20 day notices....:banana I hope it doesn't take two mos. to receive the figures after the 20 day notice like the Predator.

In theory, but it doesn't always work that way. The processing notices are a rough estimate of item arrival, but sometimes things happen and backups in shipping or other issues can cause items to ship after the date has passed. The notices are a tentative date, and usually on the mark, but not guaranteed. One time, a Hot Toys shipment was on time to Sideshow, but the were some customs issues for all shipments coming into California and the figures were trapped in customs and delayed shipment of the figures quite a bit.

Lets just hope that doesnt happen with JC! Because Im already considering canceling with alter ego and picking it up from Evilbay!

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Hopefully JC should be fine, if I'm not mistaken, Sideshow got their Predators around Comic Con. Pretty much a week or two before and a week or two after Comic Con is a shipping mess with Sideshow, that's not putting them down, it's just that they're staffed for typical yearly business in shipping, but between standard products arriving and Con exclusives, things can get a little backed up.

Just have T4 playing again while I cross examine my recently arrived T-600 endoskeleton - great figure, there doesn't seem to have been much fanfare over its release on these boards - much like the film I guess. I mean the Predator and Dutch threads are still being bumped and those figures have been around for ages now - T-600 had to share a thread with the T-700 and its not been the most active thread at that. But anyway, love that John connor outfit from the beginning of the film that we're getting - can't wait for the figure.

I gotcha. I would have ordered from sideshow, but the time I got around to it he was sold out, so I pre-ordered him from alteregocomics. I just hope I get my shipping notice soon!

I wish I could watch TV, only version I found was TERRIBLE, and as far as I know there's not even a tentative DVD date yet. I hope it's soon.

As far as T-600 and T-700, I'm sure the T-600's as impressively built a figure as the other Endos, but I know for me at least, the basic Endo version isn't very appealing a look, not with how much else is coming out these days and particularly in the T:S line.

My T:S collection will be John, Marcus, and T-600 rubber skin version, which to me is a T-600 worth getting excited over, I think the tattered clothes and the worn skin and all make for a far more interesting piece. I image others will feel the same too.

Snoop, I believe AE gets supplied by Sideshow, could be mistaken, but if so, I'd guess maybe an extra week at most after Sideshow, though sometimes their distributors get stuff before direct customers over the past year or so, so you could get yours before those of us buying direct from Sideshow, unfortunately there's no patter so it's just a wait and see.

I think your right, Im pretty sure they do get their products from sideshow. And I completely agree about the figures your getting from the T:S line. Im getting the same exact ones. And I also think The weathered t-600 is just a much more visually interesting figure than the plain t-600!

EDIT: though I might pick up a t-700, kind of missed out on the t-800!

I think the disappointment of the film must have come into play aswell. If the film had been better people might have felt compelled to get everything like I would buy everything from T1 or T2.

My collection will be T-600 endoskeleton, T-600 with rubber skin&tattered clothes and John Connor. Probably John Connor version 2 if that figure does indeed come to pass - and especially if it has a T-600 base (I never saw that pic - was it an actual T-600 torso?).

The rubberskin version will be the more visually interesting I guess but I don't regret getting the endo. It had the most screentime in the film and in those scenes its movement and sound effects really helped carry it off as a machine. I love the design despite the liberties it took over what Biehn Reese described in T1. Perhaps the design changed in the altered timeline.

I'm leaving out Marcus because he has no ties to the previous films. He'd just seem too random in my collection. 2 large Terminator machines, a christian bale military figure and.... a guy in a blue coat. Looks to be a good figure but not interesting enough for me.

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

I'm sure the movie has some factor in things, but one thing that's held fairly true, movie popularity doesn't always balance with figure popularity. I think a large number of fans of the AVP and AVPR figures enjoy the figures more than the movies.

Even for me, I like the T:S figures more than the movie. I don't have any real attachment to Marcus as a character, but I find the figure to be very appealing in costume, accessories and sculpt work. I thought the T-600 was a bit too departed from the previous tales of the T-600 in T1 and didn't really wow me on screen much, but I find that figure really cool and enjoyable to have.

Figures offer you the luxury of enjoying them outside of the film context, you can hate something on screen but still find something appealing about it in figure form.

I'm actually basing my thoughts on how I feel about my AvP:R figures. I passed on the predalien because I wasn't fond of the design and because I thought the paintscheme turned out horrible. I don't regret this decision in the least. However I have both versions of Wolf and the Alien warrior and I consider these to be the lesser figures of my collection (apart from the now rather primitive SS T2 figures). This is because, like most people, I think the film is crap and having the figures just reminds me of that crap film. Meanwhile the execution on those figures was not my favourite so I don't have that to fall back on. I've always thought that the Wolf figures were too thin, noticeably in the legs, and his head is a bit too elongated. And the Alien was just another Hot Toys alien. Impressive while its ''new toy'' value lasts and then.....meh.

So its been a fear of mine that the T4 figures will similarly come to be viewed by me as lesser items in my collection due to their association with a very forgettable film. However their execution is quite a bit better than the AvP line so hopefully not.
