This suit idk. I actually prefer the Civil War version. I’d rank this 3rd behind I & III.

I’ll have to watch again, but maybe because of its similarities with Mark III it just doesn’t stand out enough for me.

I think the issue is that we don’t get a full glamour shot of the suit.

We do get good action shots, but nothing quite like the reveal of the Mk 1 in IM2 or when he lands to arrest everyone in CW or the handful of nice shots of the armor during the airport sequence.

They cut away from WM really quickly. IW could’ve used a slow motion pan around the Mk 4 armor. But it was already a packed movie.

no scenes with iron man. Kind of a bummer. It's always cool to see the latest iron Man mark next to it's companion war machine armor, but we didn't get that in the film. Not sure who this would display with honestly. He didn't real stand with anybody at the battle of wakanda. He was mainly flying around.

Oh I agree, but I think everyone gives it some thought of how to display the figure or who to display it with when thinking about it joining their collection.

People sell off figures all the time because it "doesn't fit their collection". I.e. I love the VI, but really only caved when I saw how well the figure turned out and realized it makes a good avengers cap shelf buddy haha.

Well even if this was announced today it wouldn't be released before the next movie, so plenty of time for that to change

Well he was not so much standing with, as he was flying and fighting with, but him and Falcon had a few moments together.

not trying to make a big deal. Just pointing out that unlike any of the others there doesn't seem to be a real companion figure for this one. It was brought up earlier that we didn't really get a "heroic" shot of this suit. Even when all the heroes had a kind of rallying moment it was more so Thor, Groot, and rocket standing together. I think that definitely contributes.

I guess better is subjective.

Civil War featured the armor better because there's less going on in that movie (which is crazy to think about considering how packed with characters that movie is, too).

He definitely does a lot of damage in Infinity War. But the camera tends to cut away from him quickly because of everything going on.

There's no shot equivalent to my favorite shot of War Machine, which is when he lands to arrest Cap, Falcon, Black Panther, and Bucky. But there are more scenes of him blowing stuff up. So bit of a trade off there I think.
