Also, everyone mentions the BillyB shirt and tie, but I've never seen a price quoted. How much did they cost all of you? I have a limited budget, so it's important for me to keep this in mind too...

I don't know if Billy's ever publicly stated one, so people shouldn't post what they paid, it's up to him what he wants to quote people for it.

I'm starting to wonder what the actual savings would be ordering from Eric over say the popular HK sellers? I suppose Eric's packaging and service is worth the wait.

Well the thing for me is the CS. I've had 2 HT figures have their wrist pegs break moments after first getting them out of the box. I prefer getting Hot Toys items, at least full figures, from dealers I know I can count on to cover me if something goes wrong, these figures are expensive and parts quite fragile, I may wait an extra month, but especially with the PERS, I know if something's wrong Toys2 will get it squared away from me. I'm not a fan of doing full figure buys through eBay unless you're chasing after something long sold out everywhere.

True true. I remember getting lucky once when Rambo III first came out. I got it for $81 (Ebay) and it arrived in perfect shape. In about 30-40 purchases from Eric over the past 2+ years i've had 2 damaged items and both times he not only helped me out he also refunded my shipping back to him.

Very classy guy indeed. I think I just answered my initial question.

:D

On topic for those of us waiting out Toys 2 :lol :banghead

I need to get in on this :banghead

Agreed!! In my limited purchases he got me a replacement peg for my TDK BM, swapped a tumbler out for me and a T-600 with a missing finger :D But still I need to :banghead to prevent myself from doing something I may regret

Yeah, I had my Rambo 3 and my TDK suit Batman wrist pegs break, Eric just had me snap some photos, he contacted HT, acquired the replacements and sent them off to me, never a charge for the shipping or anything and he handled the whole matter.

I'd rather spend extra money and wait longer for securities like that. It's a bit like insurance, sure you may just put money in and never use it but it's nice to know your ass is covered if you ever do need it, and usually in those cases, I end up getting more than my money's worth.

I kinda wish both wrist pegs on my Batman broke, the replacement let the hands come off with much more ease than the factory ones :lol, which is something I REALLY hope is dealt with on the DX.

How soon did they break out of the box when it was delivered? did you swap them as soon as you unpackaged it?

Pretty much within the first 20 minutes of owning them. I went to rotate Rambo's hand and it just snapped, but I find all the muscle bodies, or at least the ones Rambo and Rocky came on, gripped the wrist pegs tighter than the hard plastic bodies.

With Batman, I went to swap a hand and I had to sort of rock the peg to get it to pop out and in rocking it in ended up just snapping the plastic. I hope the DX either has better pegs or they do like the Predators and include a peg for each hand. The TDK suit figure is the worst figure I've ever dealt with for hand swapping.

Look what i've seen in the store today :3

Was anything somewhat cold? All my packages from Hong Kong was quite a bit cold. It's probably not related but I always let the box etc etc come up to room temperature before I started tinkering.

Yeah I agree about TDK figure. Thats the one thing I love about the Takara and Medicom. A peg for every hand. Straight swap out. I can't see HT changing it. They are not known for changing things if it is it's very little. It's easy enough to swap out the HT TDK pegs in a bowl of boiling water with a cloth to grip onto. Though I wonder how long the heating up and cooling down will hold up before it become brittle and pop! Bit's and pieces.

Though I'm happy leaving the other hands on that figure. The fists drove me nuts looking too small. I felt it creates a better scale of the look with open hands rather than the stubby fists.

Thankfully the Joker is easy. Kind of like kids little bow and arrow suckers. Pop and it's out.

No, the packages weren't cold at all. As nice as they are for posability, the HT wrist pegs are really fragile, if either end gets stuck and you don't know it and you go to move the other end you can snap it fairly easily.

I think there's a 50/50 shot of DX Batman getting a peg for every wrist, I know a fair number of folks here wrote into them and got replacements, I'm sure more off this site did, I would hope they recognize the design flaw, either that or use the easier pegs like Joker and most other figures include.

I know how hard it is to get those suckers out. Pulling out the hand pegs on my OC Batman was no easy task. I REALLY thought I was going to damage it so when I finally got them out I decided that whatever hands I chose I were going be the ones that stayed on (left fist and right batarange holding hands).

I tried contacting them for a few more pegs and basically lied claiming that mine broke when I attempted to pull them out. :naughty They of course asked for evidence and pics (a week or two later) so I lost out there (wasn't about to go that far for little pegs). :google

Just glad they didn't break. I guess I'm just not going to swap out hands on it. With that said, I really wish they'd either glue the pegs into the arms, stop being cheap and include pegs for EACH hand, or just make the pegs available for 3 bucks or something. It's really frustrating and it's one of the only problems I have with Hot Toys. Well that and their lack of communication.

Here's hoping MMS DX Batman doesn't have the same problem.

I found the OC to be ok, at least their style allowed you to get a grip on the ball part, but the style of the TDK gloves leaves pretty much just the peg that goes into the forearm showing to get a grip on.

I'm glad with some of the recent pictures of DX Joker. Admittedly, I had worries about the PERS head from some photos, guess it was just bad photography or something, but the eyes seemed almost comical, like goofy, but recent photos look as serious and proper as the prototype did so it's all good.

Now, if something could just push that boat along a little faster to Canada :lol

See, that's why I wish I could fly. I'd swoop into hong kong, take a few Jokers and be back in time to post pics of my new damage.

But noooooo. I have to wait for them to get off their ass, ship out the figures to Joe and then for Joe to ship them out to me. Then I have to pay!

That's true. We've waited these past few months so what's another one?
