Hot Toys - MMS DX 01- The Dark Knight - The Joker spec and pics

First thing I'm going to do with the stand is take measurements so I can put together (or find, if possible) a plastic case to surround it. First guess is it should at least be "14 tall.

If you make a case matching this base you will be very limited in what poses you can setup with the Joker though it could look really cool I love that chair!!

the stand looks pretty cool with the lights and all, but why couldn't HT go a little further and make the stand a storage box that can house all the joker's accessory parts? its a drag to always have to open the boxes just to swap a hand. And leaving the parts on the shelf just look bad (to me, anyways)

I was actually thinking of adding a shelf or hooks on the inside of my cases to hold those extra parts though I think it looks better to stash it separately like one of those fishing boxes But in Jokers case I may just create a coat hanger so i can hang the jackets when I am not posing with it

I know, which is so bizarre that no one has undressed the joker and put the cop outfit on, everyone (so far) just get a spare body instead and be done with it. Lazy collectors.

This is THE FIRST figure that ONLY needs a TT to complete a second figure. we would be fools not to do it this way picked up another spare TT Tuesday at Toys2 and DX01 is still end of October

I had my Narrow ship today from Toys2, I wish HT weren't so limited with their base bodies, I'm getting 2 more narrow's, already used 2, I could probably find use for more but I don't want to spend money on them right now with not certain need, but it seems like it's get them while you can. Ahh, yes that's correct, the clean, first release Mark 3 has a spare Tony head that can be used to make other figures.

A lil off topic but how can i have a bigger picture in my signature? I thought the size I have was the max. I guess you have special privileges but I have seen many others have it

You have to remove the text, images can only be certain sizes when you have lines of text, or if your image is an animation, it's comibnations, just photo sigs can be 500 pixels wide max by 150 pixels tall max.

Yes, why not? There is more than enough space on that big ass platform to house 2 figures. The problem, if there is one, is that you only have one slot for the crotch holder.

The base is made of plastic, even the metal lookalike part is plastic, except his name plate is metal.

Just bought some batteries to put it on, and to my surprise, isn't as bright as I'd like. Heck, prolly even ironman's reactors prolly brighter than this. And no, I didn't use any cheap ass brand batt, I used energizer. Meh.

One more thing that I just found out is that when trying to position the light is that, its somehow parallel as well, on some certain angles. Damn, they gave the lights PERS

The new DX totally pushed him, you better separate him from the rest of your collection, or you'll start to find little 1/6th crime scenes everywhere!

Now that the DX is here, comparing him with the V1 is like comparing BB OC batman with TDK OC batman. On second thought, not that bad, but pretty close.

Btw when you guys get your DX, do notice that when you are trying to plug the stand into the base. You need to take off those hook first, turn em around then plug those in.
As they come the other way around, inside the box. And I thought HT normally had everything arranged.

Ok, I separated him, the V1 and the BR joker, each on a different shelf. Hope they'll adjust well this time

Pretty good, Maulfan. It does it job well, and it blends in very well when covered.

Damn, HT keeps on raising the bar with each figure! A popular figure, that is. They couldn't give a horse^^^^ with less popular character such as spirit or comedian

Can you take a front on shot of the head with the piece of hair removed, I'm curious if too much of the background shows or if I could get away with leaving it off for a few photos in a row to keep moving the eyes around without taking off and putting back the hair all the time.
