Oh, that i kind of understand, altough i don't agree. But i asked because it seems like almost everyone who's getting the dx is bashing the br head and i don't see where the inferiority is.

Wait until you get the DX Joker (if you're getting it). People who only owned the v1 said the same exact ish when everyone went gaga over the BR Joker. It wasn't until they actually got the BR Joker in-hand could they really tell how much of an upgrade that head sculpt was compared to the v1.

The sculpt is still phenomenal, and it's a nice alternative to the DX head. The expression and likeness is perfect.

However, the factory paint job is pretty terrible compared to the one the DX has. I've never liked the factory paint on the BR head anyway, it was too messy, and the way it was painted was too methodical for the messed up look it was going for. That's why I repainted both of mine as soon as I got them.

The DX version doesn't have that problem, it's damn near perfect out of the box.

I can't wait to get this figure! Though I think im more hyped About DX batman and connor v.2

I'm new to 1/6 figures and pre-ordering, so I'll defer to your guys' expertise:

Has everybody who pre-ordered this one from HK sellers (at least a few weeks or more back) heard from their seller within the last week (since the DX Joker was released) at least something about the time frame within which they now expect to receive their Joker?

I asked my guy a week back and still haven't heard anything, so I'm just curious as to whether sellers are likely to be still in the dark or not. On the one hand, it's only been out a week - on the other, I'd assume that at least that's enough time for sellers to begin estimating the time until they'll have it in hand to ship, if they don't have it in hand already.

But maybe I'm wrong, since I don't fully know about the time scales that these things work - so I'm wondering what you've all heard from your respective sellers.

Thanks.

EDIT: To be clear, I'm of course only talking about pre-orders from HK dealers, not pre-orders for the DCD release.

Now all you need is a street diorama(and the Bat on the batpod) that captures the background to that specific scene and shot!

I wanna build that :) I even found some good material to mimic the road. I just need to find ppl that are willing to split with me locally. They have these rolls of shingle type material that looks really close to pavement :) anyone?

It's actually not very expensive ($50 a roll or something I don't remember right now :p)

The first run has pretty much been sold out in HK. The next run will be by end of this month.

The figure is selling so well that HT doesn't even have any stock for their international dealer yet.

Since I pre-ordered mine much later, I might only get mind by their third run around November.

Just for clarification, how did you come across that information? Did you ask HT?

Something just sounds screwy about that, if you've got dealers with orders with you for certain numbers, why would you not have that many plus a certain number produced for local dealers, and shouldn't the internation dealers still receive their shipments, the locals should get a tough, you'll get more when we have them, and the international contracts honored.

i emailed my seller about when he thinks it will ship and he said around the 15th of this month he should be shipping mine so fingers crossed it does

There is nothing screwy about that and it has always been common practice for HT. The first run of the product has always been for the Toy Hunter store and their local dealers. Any leftover from that will be distributed to their international dealers. If the first run sold out, they will just have to wait for the next run.

It makes perfect sense to satisfy your home market first. Imagine what would happen to the local dealers if HK collectors start ordering from other international dealers because they had to wait a few extra weeks for their stock? There will then be a bunch of local dealers with unsold HT stock cause everyone else got theirs from international dealers.

HK being HT home market means HT has an obligation to protect the home market.

My local HT dealer here won't be getting their stock until sometimes middle to end of this month. This has happened frequently this year because demand for HT product has really skyrocketed. Case in point, we did not get out Tumbler stock until like two months later. We did not get Godfather like one month later. We did not get John Conner like two weeks later.

However we did get the Spirit like a few days after it was released.

As to how I know all this, I am a regular at the local HT dealer here after all. I 'hear' things.

I forgot to address one important question, why wouldn't HT just make enough to satisfy everyone since they already got their orders in like months ago?

HT stuff still need a surprising amount of human touch to it, and there is only so many a factory can make in a certain period of time. It's not like their factory has unlimited capacity like Hasbro or something.

Exactly man!..Quality over Quantity..these take time to get right.

Ah, but it's not the same thing, br joker was a complete different sculpt which actually looked like the movie joker. But in this case, from all the pictures i've seen, the dx sculpt is pretty much the same with the br one, with only minor touchups that doesn't affect the overall look (like, a little something to the mouth, a little something to the hair). The only difference is the paint, and in my opinion (of course :p), they're obviously different styles and they can't be compared directly.
