I am tempted to remove the grenade rig from the inside of the coat. Box fresh the coat sat lovely and flat but once u put the grenades in then remove them it never quite goes back to how it was -it sticks out. Hmmm.
mines been sitting around for a while without the grenades. i took them out because of the same issue and its slowly going back to fit right. i'd recommend just doing that and making sure the grenade straps are laid in such a way that when they reshape under the coat they dont poke out.

my only big nitpick is that they should have made it so that you could remove the entire rig to avoid this situation.

How strong is the wire around the base of the coat YJ?

It's not the thickest wire in the world but it works well when you want to mould the ends of the coat ever so slighty. It isn't strong enough however to hold extreme poses but you can definately use it effectively.

Yeah - I will leave it for the time being and hope gravity forces it to start sitting right. Cheers for the advice. My fav pose for the Joker is him holding the machine gun / hunched / looking angry in the street with his legs slightly apart so thats how I've ot him right now and I don't tend to change the poses of my figures so I can't see myself placing him in the grenade rig pose any time soon. Ive had a look at the rig inside the coat and it looks to be glued on - I was hoping it would only be stiitched on to make it easier to remove.

Quick few of pics I took... rough even by my standards, sorry!
I took them to aid me while I reviewed bits of it at work, but I figured you guys might like to see them anyway. I was quite surprised to find the removable clip of 8 bullets in the Garand, just pulled back the chamber and there they were... sweet!

Better quality ones soon, I promise!

Mine arrived today, this figure is fantastic, pictures do not do this figure justice. You have to have it in hand to realise how good this figure is.:banana

Mine arrived at my parents place today! But i'm now staying at my own place with my wife since getting married, so I won't be able to get my hands on it till tomorrow!! Dammit!

Someone over at ToyWorld has already experienced breakage with the PERS. At least it lets US see how the system works. :D

**NOTE: The head is from this repaint**

Given the size, I'd say fragile plastic and perhaps pushing the eyes further than they were meant to go, or fragile plastic and natural, intended motion just happened to break them, I've had wrist pegs snap in normal function just because of some production mishap.

I'd be surprised if PERS breakage was anything but a fluke or bad luck. I don't think it'll be a wide-spread issue (especially if HT uses it on more figure) because it seems the system is simple enough that strain to the parts involved is low. I mean, the "joystick" can only move in a limited radial length from the center. I'm not sure how it (and the eye assembly) could actually break.

I can't read Chinese, but it does look like the joystick extends into that center hole or ring on the eye assembly, which makes it turn.

Question to DX Joker owners: Does the joystick turn smoothly or is it jerky or rough?

I find it very sensitive to try and line the eyes up looking perfectly centered however if you move it to the extreme left/right or up/down you can apply a little force to get it to move with ease. More to do with the size of the stick in relation to your hands. Fiddly more than jerky.

Uh OH! :lol

Ahem...does it ever get stuck in a position? I assume then some force is required to move it out of place. The PERS video HT released before the figure came out didn't portray the smoothest operation.

I would say that the video you see is actually the smoothest I've got it to move. I don't want to move the eyes too much as it may break however I is sturdy enough not not fall to bits as the pictures suggest. Like all 1:6 scale figures I'd still say be careful as it probably won't take too much abuse.

ps. you don't know how long it took me write this short message without using the words 'stick' 'stiff' and 'in your hands'

From the english posts over at ToyWorld someone mentioned the use of recycled plastic possibly being the culprit of ALL recent breakage problems with figures. Not sure how accurate that is, just saying.

I don't speak Chinese either but I would like some more information on what happened. Trying google translator is a good laugh but I have no idea what it means.

just got mine from goodshipped. the figure is immense, i cant stop staring at it, havent put all the little things like grenades or badge for police officer on yet, cant find my dark knight dvd. anyone who ordered this from goodshipped with an extra true type, he puts the police clothiing on the body and bubble wraps the extra pieces, but took me a while to figure this out lol.

When I recieved the figure he was very cold...it was a cold day in England and probs cold on the parcel van. I attempted to move the joystick and could tell if I kept forcing it then it would break. I left it for a few hours to aclimatise to the room and the temperature and the movability improved.

However, t is a very delicate piece of kit. The stick only seems to rotate - about 180degress left and 180degrees right- any further and it feels like it will snap. It's not so much jerky when you move it, more stiff. It's like the stick dosen't want to turn. Only being able to rotate stick means you can't move the it up and down, making the eyes look up and down - to achieve this you have to rotate it the stick in a C shape a shape which the eyes follow - to make him look at the floor his eyes will rotate in a C motion - I found this weird - I thought the could just go up and down. Maybe I got a delicate headsculpt I don't know but I'm scared to muck around with it too much. I found an eye posistion which I like and have left it like that!
