Dude, I get that everytime a figure shows up at my house. We don't live together yet, but uhh she does notice when I have a new figure. I just had to explain to her why the P2 elder pred is a "grail" and worth the amount I spent on it.

Usually the return on our dollies isn't worth much, they have more sentimental value than return on investment.

However, they cost an arm and a leg. I bet if your wife found out what you spent on "action figures"

Actually when it comes to our other half about this hobby we are always in the dog house

I'm at work all day so she gets most of the packages... When I get home I just nonchalantly hide them away and wait till she's out to open them. Not only would she have a better idea what these things cost, but she'd tease me relentlessly.
