Hot Toys - MMS DX 01- The Dark Knight - The Joker spec and pics

Tell me about it! v1 is such a waste. I opened mine, saw it, happiness was like camera's flash! Kept it back and since then its locked up inside its box. With the way HT kept on making this figure look better (BRJ then DX), it pains now to own (and to look at) v1 now! Guess the only use for him now is the Joker jail scene with the BRJ head and hands without gloves...

It was my first figure into the 1/6 range, so needless to say I was newbishly stunned. Then when the BRJ came out I wanted it more, so i could swap the heads. not only 2 weeks after I got my BRJ they decided to unviel the DX Mine is still on display, with the BRJ sculpt. He's still my favorite figure. But just because he was my first.

I display him in the interrogation scene look as well:

nah, the full DX joker. mrm is monkeyrobotmaster right? I have seen his heads they are incredible

Infact, to display him in the interrogation/jail scene where he's sitting, the older truetype would look much better as the shoulders look much broader and the shirt fills out more than the narrow TT, the way Heath was. One of the major flaws with v1 was the weird purple coat. He'll look great without it.

Hmmm.... Now the task is to find a decently priced BRJ head or the complete BRJ, haven't got him yet, can you believe it!

I almost fell in a trap like that. I was going to buy the dark knight version batman from my comic book shop, so i just checked my mail before i left and when i opened my mail i went on sideshow freaks and the dx02 batman pics were released. Im soo glad i waited for those 10 min

Agreed, the coat is a pain to get on and off, and just doesnt look right unless you spend a lot of time futzing:

The BRJ head is pretty awesome. I like it more then the DX, from the pictures ive seen. He's pretty cheap on ebay compared to other figures.

It sure does look good! Although, the BR face sculpt is so good that you sometimes forget to notice how the clothes are, i.e. in comparison to the DX ones. Well, if you have even a tiny bit of perfectionist in you, then it'll always pinch you that you do not have the DX Joker; atleast that's the way I am...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure im gonna pick up a DX in the next couple of weeks. Im like you, my figures have to look great I just bought a custom balaclava for my takbats cause he looked so stupid with the other one. I don't move out of their pose for like 6 months

Yes if you have to pic one, obviously go with the DX [btw, Shai, the one in the pic above is not the DX], but the medi has his charm.


Definitly not like a "real persons" but...

I've actually decided I like him better than the DCD Joker. Not because it looks anything like the movie character, but because on his own he has a nice creepy shelf presence.



But again, this is the one to buy.

I recently picked up the Medicom Joker for a very cheap price. I just figure that since I have just about every version (with the exception of the DX version. I just can't get into the new head sculpt) I just decided to get it. Upon receiving it, I have to say that (okay, everybody be prepared to get upset) I actually really like this figure immensely. Granted the jacket is a little bathrobish, and the eye color should be way darker, I still really like this one! It is one of my favorite figures now. Okay I know that he isn't everybodies idea of a movie accurate figure, but as a stand alone Joker figure, he is awesome. If I had to choose the best Joker figure, i would have to go with the BR version. And I actually prefer the slick back hair on him, and the other sculpt on my V1. There, I said my piece. People fire away, but I will stand by my words when I say the Meicom figure is an awesome one.

It's all good man. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The medicom one is a REALLY cool stand alone Joker, an I have heard a lot of people say it is. So if it works for you great!

I've only been on this forum for about a month, and not sure why everyone gets all pissy when people state their opinions. It's not like you going to be able to change them so just be happy that you have your own.

Asking a question is not trolling. He went on endlessly explaining his love for the medi Joker in an HT Joker thread expecting a backlash and going as far to ask for one. Besides I wasnt the only one who asked. Really I was just laughing at what Nam,Evilface and devil were doing if anything.
