Well, finally got a True Type Narrow and put together my Heath Ledger Police figure.

I love Hot Toys as much as the next guy but honestly I do feel like I'm in surgery half the time I'm futzing with these blasted things.

This police uniform almost finished me . . . seriously thought going to the bathroom to hang myself.

Where to start? First it was next to impossible to get the head on. I used a hair dryer and that finally did it but it loosened the glue and the "inner ring" of Ledger's head came off so now his head is loose. I had to re-superglue that in place and God only knows if that will stick.

The socks . . . didn't know I had to cut a hole through them and wasted almost half an hour trying to ram the ball with the sock over it into the shoes.

Putting the jacket over the white shirt and getting the white sleeves down . . .

The damn medal . . . why did Hot Toys decide to make the opening 1 mm too tight?

Last but not least the HAT, the HAT. Shudder. I'm going to have nightmares about that HAT tonight. Words alone can't describe the sheer frustration of getting that hat on.

Just . . . crazy. I mean once you FINALLY get him together he looks pretty cool but I swear there were at least 4 or 5 times I wanted to just toss throw him out the window . . .

Know this is old news for most of you who own this figure but hope it brings back fond memories when you had to do this way back when . . .

^ The only problem I had was the medal. the slot was waaaaay small. Everything else was a piecs of cake. I've heard others having problems with the hat but mine is fine,looks great.

No, that's not Joker in that pic (he doesn't have that sash). There's just no good looks at Jokers badge on screen.

One of the higher-up cops in TDKR (Foley, played by Matthew Modine) wears the exact same honor guard police outfit, except with the gold braid on his shoulder (as in the above pic) and a gold band around his hat.

I'm hoping we get Joker 2.0 in the next year, so that I can bash this guy as a custom. The braid shouldn't be hard to do.
